Having an early surname is almost universally better.

Hahaa. Tho not fun when you are the first on the list for in-class oral exams. sometimes they'd do descending alphabetical order and I'd be the first up. not fun at all!

Anyways, I'm still waiting for the user/pass email. Letter 'V' here!

I guess the results will be released in the same manner....."A" first followed by "B" .... that's why they are only giving a time frame instead of a fixed time....

Also received the two emails just now, last name "D"

In case others are curious, I was able to log-in no problem, went to the Applicant library, and when I open/click on my applicant file it says there are no items to show.

LOL it really does look like these emails are trickling out alphabetically by surname. Lets hope this process is more streamlined for the award decisions tomorrow.

I feel like that was a lot of anticipation for an empty folder lol. Anyone else waste most of their day today?

Was I the only one who logged in to see the message: "To access your folder, hover over the Applicants tab and click on the appropriate item from the drop-drown menu."
But there was no drop down menu??

There will still be a wait tomorrow.  Two days wasted.

Is it slower than the Extranet email ? Well the computer has to make up an username first...and it's two emails. and then various levels of approvals by officers, managers, deputy directors and finally directors..in addition to the bureaucracy at a public institution...

I also saw the "hover over the Applicants tab.." text on the home-page, and when I did hover over the tab "Applicant library" dropped down and then I clicked that.

I've been following this thread all day and awaiting my emails: they are coming at the same pace and sequentially as everyone is predicting (I am an "M" surname so it takes a while...). However a faculty member at my Uni just tweeted that one of her students received the CGS-D awards. Unsure of how she found out, whether it was by contacting the graduate student staff member of the dept or through the Extranet. Talk about suspense.

Edit: the student's surname begins with an "S", so it doesn't follow the alphabetical release of emails, info, etc that has been following all day. My guess is they contacted the dept at our university.

Hey all, first time poster -

- I had a quick question: Say someone were to be awared a PGS-D can they reapply the following year to see if they could get a CGS-D or is it locked in for 3 years?

I think if you get OGS/QEII you can reapply the following year for a PGS-D? Is that true?

Full disclosure - I have not heard back from NSERC I was just curious what the answer might be!

Cheers and gl mates!

I think they are at C or D.  I'm an S and I have not received the two emails.  Congrats on the good news though!!!  I should have emailed my department but I decided to wait it out.
