Arnyc Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Hey all! So I interviewed at Northeastern Feb 21st and have yet to hear back from them about their decision. Everyone I know who has interviewed already received responses and I’ve been waiting for about 2 weeks now. Should I email them or call them? I’m thinking there may be a delay due to the coronavirus plaguing the Boston area, but I am dying of anxiety!
MassSLPwannabe Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 I know some schools send out information in rounds. I did already hear back from Northeastern that I was waitlisted, but it cant hurt to call or email!
aslpwannabe Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 For that matter, has anyone else not heard back from Vanderbilt or University of Wisconsin-Madison too? I know some people have, but I have not.

Have you checked the application portal?

I need at least a month to make my decision! Lol

My applicant portal still says my application is under review, and I've been checking it non-stop. I had no idea that they already had their open house and just thought they were sending out responses in waves. I will definitely be emailing them!

But I feel like they should have told you that...
SpeechGirl2020 Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 Hi Arnyc, Northeastern sent me an email 4 days ago saying that there was an email delivery issue and some people did not get their decision letters. They said to email the admission coordinator. Hope this helps!
KEIM Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 I hope it's a good thing. People who interviewed after me have already received responses accept/rejected from the schools that I've applied to. I have no idea if that's a bad sign. It's driving me a little crazy.
Arnyc Posted March 17, 2020 Author Posted March 17, 2020 Hi all, Thanks for your responses. I was put on NEU's waitlist which is why my email took so long I'm guessing! I will be declining my place on the waitlist so hopefully someone who wants it can get it!
Gracie_whatevs Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I got into Northeastern a couple weeks ago, but I"m going to decline. I didn't realize their tuition was so high!! How are you all going to afford it??

I know all the programs I've applied to are pricy but distance programs are what fit my lifestyle. Everyone has their own reasons, I don't judge. JordSLP2Be and bibliophile222 1 1
