2021 Business PhD Applicants

Has anyone heard from University of Washington (Foster) or University of Texas Austin for management/OB tracks?  Or university of Texas- Dallas for OB tracks?

It was the Strategy and Innovation track, and did 3 separate interviews. The first one was a more generic screening interview with the Asst. Prof serving as this year’s coordinator. The following 2 were with PIs I expressed interest in working with. It seemed to me that all the Strat & Innov. Interviews are out. Not sure about the other fields. Good luck!!

Yes, I heard from UT Austin. They did an interview day for management/strategy yesterday. They said decisions will be released late Feb/early March.

I don't really know...It said the faculty selected 12 applicants to interviews (i.e., faculty, current PhD students, and a brief analysis of a few articles).

Here's a rundown of all the schools I've heard from - hoping this can help those who applied to the same programs (I applied to all OB/Management):

• Interviews completed - Harvard, UT Austin
• Interviews this week - London Business School, Cornell, INSEAD
• Interviews to be scheduled - Columbia, University of Washington (Foster)
• Rejected, no interview - Wharton
• Haven't heard a peep: MIT, Toronto, UNC, Duke, Minnesota, Stanford, Berkeley

??? - Has anyone heard from the OB/Management programs at MIT, Toronto, UNC, Duke, Minnesota, Stanford, Berkeley?  Just so I can start focusing my hopes/prep on the right programs?  Thank you!!!

I heard from Minnesota! I had an interview last week--I think they are interviewing 8, but admitting 2. It may be professor specific for interviews!

I heard from Duke over the weekend. They are doing interviews this week.  I didn't apply to the others, so I can't speak to those.

I heard from Duke and Toronto Rotman for interviews this week.

Do you know if Columbia plans to schedule interviews this week? I am trying to gauge if I still have a chance cuz I heard nothing from Columbia. Thanks!

Columbia just said to expect faculty to reach out for interview scheduling. Got that email on Friday, but haven't heard anything since then.

To my knowledge (not an applicant) Stanford Marketing does not interview applicants.

I've heard MORS Departments are taking fewer students than in previous years. Does anyone have insight on how many PhD students HBS, Wharton, Columbia, or other programs are accepting?
