Can anyone claim the University of Connecticut acceptance? If this is indeed the case, are you likely to reject or accept the offer?

Hello, I am not sure if you're referring to the email some people received yesterday. I am wondering if everyone who applied received that email?

Looking at trends from the past years, by this week, applicants who have made it to the final round would have received interview invites. I am not sure if this might still be possible since today is only Tuesday. However, the email from yesterday of "we're still reviewing your application" while no rejections/acceptances have been sent out is new (please correct me if I am wrong). I have not seen that email come from previous years.

I am, and unfortunately for me I asked because I applied but didn't receive that email. Also had some very late LORs.....

I am so sorry.  Truly one of the worst years to apply to PhD programs.

Are you cs or arch? I imagine that folks making decisions will do so after the admitted students events scheduled for first 2 weeks of March, so you might need to wait a few weeks.

Is the person with UTSA acceptance from today in this thread? Could I trouble you for more info (offical letter vs. informal notification from PI, subfield, etc)?  They are my top choice but I've not heard anything since my interview so I'm on massive pins and needles. TYIA!

I got an email from my prospective advisor. He said an official letter would come soon. I’m cultural.

I am waitlisted for a fellowship there, however, and there was no mention of a TA ship. Funding will be decided based on how many people turn down offers. 
 

I was admitted with funding to other programs, so I will likely reject their offer unless funding comes through - then I might consider.

ah sorry can't help with CS, but I don't think movement is off the table. seems like both programs typically have some last minute shuffling around.

@CooperSlyI also applied to Dartmouth EEES but haven’t heard anything. I read on their page that they do interviews in January and February with offers in March, but I haven’t seen anyone post that they’ve been asked to interview so idk.

I too recieved an e-mail saying "your application is still under consideration" on 24th of Feb. On 25th around five people posted about receiving a rejection letter. I checked my portal that day and everyday after it and did not see anything. I still don't understand what is going on. It looks like they are making a short list of people. Will have to wait whether they narrow it down again before giving interview calls.

Same thing here! I saw that one person posted an interview invite received yesterday (Saturday). Not sure how only one person received an invitation and how they got it on the weekend. I plan on contacting JHU mid-next week if I don't hear anything.

Yes. I don't know whether it is spam or real. Because it was on 27th February last year that many people posted about an interview call. If it is real, may be the e-mail is from the POI. We can only guess right now. Please let me know if you have any update. I too will post if I get to know anything.

Hello everyone,

I have been actively reading this forum, but this is my first post. I applied to Evolutionary Anthropology PhD programs at Duke and University of New Mexico. Has anyone heard back from either of these two schools or programs? My application status still says submitted, so I am not sure what that means, or if my application has even been reviewed at all. Has anyone been notified about being wait-listed? It's March now, and the deadline for Duke was December 1st... It's been three months now. UNM was January 1st, so I expected a later reply from them. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! This is my first round, so I am extremely nervous. I got my Master's at the same university as my BA, so I've never really gone through this before. Thanks!

Nope. I emailed them a few days ago asking for a status update and no one replied yet. I tried calling them but it only rings and goes to voicemail.

I got into all three of my MA/MS underwater arch programs (yay!) BUT each one has a funding caveat (booo).

I was waitlisted for funding for East Carolina's Maritime Studies program.

I got into University of Southampton in the UK, but am banking on a Fulbright to fund it. I made it to semi-finalist, but no word on an interview so I'm not feeling optimistic.  

Also got into Florida State, but absolutely no word on funding. I strangely got an email yesterday saying that decisions were being delayed because they hadn't received their budget yet. Then I got an acceptance email today?

And so the wait continues! It feels great to be accepted, but no funding feels like a rejection since I decided not to pursue graduate study without funding.

The person who posted about the interview call again made a post saying  he/she got interviewed by a faculty member and the results will be out by the end of next week. I don't know whether they select people without an interview. In that case, it looks like a possible rejection for those who didn't receive an interview call. ?

Are there any other people here that can claim more JHU interviews? I don't think JHU accepts anyone without an interview. However, it doesn't make sense that we were not included in the first round of rejections if we never made it to the interview round, seems like we should've been out after the first cut. Not sure what's going with JHU. It is the last school that I am waiting to hear back from and it is already very late in the process.

It's been such a difficult year to apply. For all applicants, we all deserve a round of applause for applying this year and sticking with that decision, congrats to all of those who were accepted! Similar to previous year's trends, anyone want to share their happy news?
