I wanted to give a status update. I feel incredibly lucky right now and extremely grateful for the opportunities I have been given! Never thought this would be possible?

I’ve seen a handful of people post interview invites since 12/8 or so. I’m still waiting for a response from Penn, but I have no idea if they send out invites in batches or all at once but I do know they have two interview weekends scheduled for Jan and Feb. if all invites have already gone out then I def got a silent rejection and probably won’t be notified until later ?

I would imagine they're sending out more, I've only seen two people receive them according to gradcafe. From last year, I believe they send invites in batches! Hopefully we will hear soon!

Does anyone know what the etiquette is with conflicting interview schedules? Once you confirmed that you will be attending interview dates are you able to ask them to reschedule/cancel?

The BGS website says they review applications in December and January, so that would definitely indicate they send out invites in batches seeing as they’ve sent out invites as early as the 7th. Moral of the story is I need to stop checking this forum so often, lol

Utterly devastating to see Cornell has sent out invites? What am I doing wrong?

 

I'm an international student. 

UG: 4.0 (Top 50 Uni) (UK)

PG: MRes 2 years (Top Uni) 

3 publications (all first author), 2 Conferences

Applied 20 programs, only heard from 1.

This whole process is giving me so many ups and downs. I was convinced Yale was a no go until I received the INP interview invitation today. 

From what I understand, the following schools have sent out their interviews: UCSF, University of Washington, UC Berkley, Cornell, Princeton, Yale, UC Davis. 

Personally waiting for: Mt Sinai, NYU, Rutgers (psych), OHSU (behavior neuro), and Stanford. 

Good luck everyone! Still a number of schools to look forward to.

Since I’m just an applicant, I can’t say for certain whether these neuro programs will send out more interviews. I received invites for Cornell (Ithaca), Princeton (Neuro), and UC Davis (neuro). It’s been a couple of days so I assume they’re done. Yale (INP), I just got got the email today so maybe they will continue to send?

As for UCSF Neuro, they made their decisions last Tuesday and I saw gradcafe had a bunch of updates. As for Berkeley and U Washington, I assume they’re done because, again, it’s been a couple of days since the first ones went out.

I applied to 10 schools:

Waiting: Boston Uni, Brown, Columbia, Duke, Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, UMiami, and UMich

I received an interview from Weill Cornell yesterday 1:11 EST.

I got rejected from Duke Cognitive Neuroscience. That was my secondary choice as program within Duke. I haven't heard anything from Duke Neurobiology.

I heard someone got a UMich interview earlier in the thread. I guess also Princeton too. Anyone have updates on the other ones?
