eg2000 Posted January 28, 2022 Posted January 28, 2022 (edited) I got accepted to MIT (ChemBio/Biophysical) today. I was interviewed by my POI and received a personal email from my POI today. Edited January 28, 2022 by eg2000

My POI specifically emphasized the parts of her research that did not match mine. I guess it's my mistake for writing about the parts of her research that I liked? Never mind that I had two other POI who my current works matches great with :')

ilsc Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 So I applied to 10 schools, three safeties and seven reaches. Accepted by the three safeties in December and rejected from another three this month. Should I just assume the rest are rejections? The four I'm waiting to hear from are: Emory, Georgia Tech, University of Florida, and UIUC. Accepted: UofSC, Clemson, UGA Rejected: UChicago, Duke, Princeton
eg2000 Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 @ilsc I got my UIUC acceptance in Dec so probably a rejection there. idk about the rest

reaction Posted February 3, 2022 Posted February 3, 2022 At this point, even rejections are kind of soothing..... So glad chemistry is one of the fastest majors that announce their decisions. The wait is really stressful VenomMan35 and chemgrad2022 2
