Compared to the other interviews, they just went more in depth and asked what I guess I would call "more technical" questions about the science behind it.

I was also accepted into these two programs/divisions! They are two of my top choices I am nervous about making a decision but I am looking forward to the open houses

Congrats! Looks like we're both doing atmospheric chemistry so maybe I'll see you at the open houses ?

So, someone at my uni got a Cornell acceptance a few weeks ago, and I haven't heard back from Caltech about interviews, so I'm betting on rejection from both. Still, not upset, got excellent offers from Virginia Tech, Michigan, Iowa State, and Minnesota that are all worth strongly considering, and the west/east coasts are a bit uncomfy for me as a midwestern gal.

Does anyone know how bad it is to not have any kind of nomination letter/recommendation for admission? Had no prior contacts (reached out via email and got some responses but nothing significant, at LA, SD, UCSB, and Cal) and I’m just worried about acceptance with seeing so many others get nomination letters/contact
