Have you heard from UCF or Rice? In the results section I did spot that someone has accepted an offer from UCF -PhD in I/O psychology which is the same programme I applied for, not sure if that means my application was unsuccessful!

No news from either one yet.

Especially given your position on the wait list for CMU and WSU, I'd say your chances of being accepted at least one of those schools is really high! :)

Thanks for the positivity :D!  I hope so! I see that you have been accepted to 3 schools...too bad we don't have any overlap!

It's true! It took me a while to get used to the concept, but a lot of grad students have told me that being waitlisted is a good thing. 9 times out of 10, it's just a delayed acceptance.

Looks like we only have USF and the University of Connecticut in common.. hopefully we both end up at visiting weekend for those schools!

:D! Thanks!  Yes, USF and UConn!  With my luck?...I'd probably be number 1 on their wait list.

The research of hers that I have read is so interesting! Props to you for getting to work with such an awesome mentor.

Sounds like we have similar interests!

  • George Mason: Dr. Eden King and Dr. Lois Tetrick
  • DePaul: Dr. Jane Halpert and Dr. Alice Stuhlmacher
  • Wayne State: Dr. Boris Baltes
  • Portland State: Dr. Donald Truxillo

Hey, we have some similar interests, too! Wayne State was one of my Top 10 before I cut down the list. I'm an undergrad at DePaul, feel free to PM me with questions about the program or faculty.
