thunderchunky Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Out of curiosity, if you are doing (or have done) grad studies in International Affairs, what was your undergrad discipline?
Kadisha Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 BA in Economics and Political Science. Why the question though?
thunderchunky Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 I did a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and International Business. The programs I've applied to tout themselves as "interdisciplinary", but I'm just wondering if my lack of poli sci is a huge detriment.

I'm no expert but I don't think it should be if you've got relevant work experience.
Pinkman Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 It really doesnt matter what your undergrad major was. Most programs are only concerned with the quantitative aspect of your education. soaps, ZacharyObama and Pinkman 1 2
intlrlns Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Besides, your major can be related to this field anyway. I know people who were hardcore science majors and decided to switch to IR.
thunderchunky Posted March 1, 2013 Author Posted March 1, 2013 Thanks. Still curious what everyone else did, though!

av260987 Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I studied engineering in my undergrad. Then did a diploma in journalism and have worked in print for around 2 years now. So, as you can see, no direct IR connection! thunderchunky 1
