I surely hope so for all of us! At least it means none of us was bad enough to be rejected so there is hope.
k_angie Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 Thanks curious_grad. I hope IHEID too takes their result out ASAP. As for my letter of motivation, I would say focus on why do you want to do the course. That's the most imp thing. I dedicated just a bit on my why do I want to do it from sciences Po. Most part I covered was my future ambitions both short and long term goals plus why the course. Hope this helps. Pls free to pm me if you have any more questions. Curious_Grad 1

Ha ha ha thanks I feel better already! I think it's time for some humour on this board I'm tired of stressing about things I have no power to change. Time to laugh a bit! k_angie Posted December 18, 2013 Author Posted December 18, 2013 (edited) Okay, so after this I have come to the conclusion that no freaking one has been selected for interdisciplinary programmes. Period Edited December 18, 2013 by k_angie
mickun88 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 or they haven't sent out the results to those successful candidates yet.
Guest Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 3 more months of waiting has started. I'm joining you in that boat.
alchyna Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 Wow mickun and doublebarrel! I was hoping that since you didn't get an email yesterday that might be a good sign. That seems like an awful lot of people push back to the second round! Like angie I think interdisciplinary masters are the ones with postponments. I'm also wondering if anyone was even rejected at this round...
alchyna Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 I just received an unconditional offer from SOAS for Development Studies
Bluebird86 Posted December 18, 2013 Posted December 18, 2013 What did the postponement e-mails say for IHEID?
alchyna Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 What did the postponement e-mails say for IHEID? It just says that my application will be reassessed with the second round of applications early next year and that I will find out the decision in March.
Bluebird86 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Hmm, so do they just do a round of rejections during the early admission's process, and then deliver all the acceptances during the March announcement round?
alchyna Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 I don't think it's just a round of rejections. On another board someone annouced they got into the IR/PS program. No one as far as I can tell for interdisciplinary programs. But who knows maybe they are not done notifying admitted students. Maybe they started with us postponments.
mickun88 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Please share your good news if you were admitted, Our Dear Netizens.
mickun88 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 (edited) I am not a Statistics expert. In this thread, we have people from all around the world. Each of us has a different professional and academic background. It is quite diverse. The admission rate is 33%. We are just related by this thread. So you can say the people here are pretty random. We do not know each other. Statistically, in such a random situation, is it possible that all of us were the worst 66% ? Edited December 19, 2013 by mickun88
