Yay! Congrats to sarab & daykid, and my condolences to the rest. I'm still waiting to hear from Anthro & History @ Michigan.

At least it's some peace of mind one way or the other :\

Congrats to the Mich people...unfortunately it didnt work out for me either :( Seems like the ling. anthropologists among us are having much better luck this year!

Not true! Although it's honestly a crap shoot -- I have applied to Michigan three years in a row and been rejected each time! I have other acceptances, so I guess it just comes down to the faculty's interests and I can accept that.

Two more rejections today. Boston and michigan. 4 rejections so far. Cuny, boston, duke and michigan. 6 to go.

Where did you and daykid get in? Congrats!

Thank you! We got in University of Michigan, both for Linguistic Anthropology.

And birinciben, God has the best for you! Good luck!

It seems like there were some rejections for cultural, so they're probably making decisions in that subfield, too.

Daykid and Sarab Ann Arbor is an amazing place! Congrats! One of my current profs is a recent ling. anth grad from UMich and is an amazing professor.

I spent two semesters at UMich in undergrad but I hated the HUGE classes. I know the grad program is honestly as good as you hope it will be though.

Congratulations on the acceptances, Daykid and Sarab! Stick with it guys, remember, we only need one!

Hey, Don't Panic, in case you were wondering about UARK, I talked with my old advisor from there last week and he informed me they were going to be making decisions around the end of this week. Just thought I'd throw it out there.
