I want to pull all my hair out.

I'm in my last semester and getting through these final exams is killing me because my future is so up in the air.
I really hate this huge gap of waiting time we're given to find out. My good friend is applying to physiotherapy in Ontario and every applicant finds out on May 20th whether they've been accepted rejected or waitlisted. I would much rather it be that way as opposed to this long gruelling process.

Hello fellow waitlisters!
For those of you who know how long the waitlist is, did the University tell you? Or did you ask?
I was waitlisted for the University of Calgary 2-year clinical stream, and I would love to know how many people are on that list but they didn't offer up that information.
I am wondering if they sent out the acceptances, waistlist and rejections all at once or if they did it in waves - if it was all at once I feel like it ups my chances of getting in!

Hey kjackson,

I was talking to a professor at the uofc and they told me that they send out the top 5% about 1 month before they send out the rest to try and get the best applicants. Once they hear back they send out the acceptances, waitlist, and rejections all within a few days. If you are on the waitlist you might have a chance, I declined uofc which might help some people. Hopefully, you get off the waitlist!

Thank you so much, that's great to know!

Congrats on being accepted! I think it's a pretty tough program!
Thanks for your well wishes :)

I have not heard anything from them, and it is torture. I can't tell if it's a good thing or a bad thing. Did you receive an e-mail?

Hi everyone :) this is my first time posting but I have been reading these boards for a few weeks! I applied to U of T and York's 2yr MSW programs. I am hoping for U of T but (like many people) I'm still waiting to hear back. Currently finishing up a BA in psych at Queen's. I have lots of research experience but not much experience directly related to social work practice. I am trying not to lose hope but it is hard. Anyway, good luck to all of you! Figured I would join the conversation :)

I have applied to UofT for EE but I am asking this here since this thread is quite active: I have to respond to an offer in USA by 15 April, would it be a good idea to mail the program and ask if there is a chance for me to be admitted? If so, who should I be e mailing, grad coordinator etc?

Haha, yeah, I'd much prefer that too. I guess they have to gate admissions like this because they want to see how many accept the first round?

Hey guys, I have a question about ROSI.

My ROSI still says "no registration history" and SGS still says "under review." Based off of the other threads, it seems that SGS updates a few weeks after ROSI does. If you get rejected from UofT, would your ROSI change to a different status, or would it stay the same and say "no registration history,"

I'm also wondering if anyone knows if acceptances will be sent out throughout the day, or do they send them out all at once?

Hey, I believe if you get rejected your ROSI will just say "no registration history". But do not worry yet- there is still a chance you will get in and it will change (aka just because it says that now doesn't mean that for sure you have been rejected)

As for the acceptances throughout the day, yes I think they stagger them through the day, but I am not entirely sure. I am waiting desperately for some sort of status change too on my ROSI, so we are in the same boat. Hang in there!!
