I appreciate the link, it gives me a little bit of basis but not much. The school I am waiting to hear from is very small, so no results on the page and no coordinator that I can find. Is it strange to reach out to a dept. chair with whom you have had no previous contact? This is my last school to hear from so I am dying to know but do not want to invite a rejection by seeming impatient or rude.

Well my "omen" turned out to be nothing. I was rejected from that school today.

I did my undergrad abroad so I don't have a precise GPA on a 4.0 scale, but it is probably a 2.8 or so. Even with a 3.96 Master's GPA I am being rejected left and right. Just got another rejection and have given up hope.

A professor I had an interview with sent me an invitation to connect on LinkedIn. She sent it to my school email (that I have used to communicate with her) not the email that I have my profile linked to. Is it just a mass email do you think? What does this mean?! Haha, I've only heard back from one school (it was a rejection) so I really want this to be a Good Sign!

This is a stretch, but I know someone in the Musicology dept. at Case and something in her facebook status update yesterday made me think they were still evaluating. Edit: did you get an interview? Edit 2: they Google you apparently, so be careful.

Welp, I'm one of the Davis rejections. Only 3 left.

This is so true! I was AFK for four days this week because of the death of a loved one. I made myself put down my phone and stop checking while I focused on family. And you know what? I felt so much better! Of course now life is back to "normal" and I am checking again... but I do feel a little calmer. I got my first rejection today too.

Oh yes, tied for first place for me. I'm super nervous because I met with a prof there who liked my work but was afraid the rest of the dept would not.

I have taken classes in the SCS department before. I believe LLC and SCS are separate, however the faculty does overlap.

School Psychology is its own separate animal. I don't think their schedule has much bearing on the rest.

I believe they are now separate. They were separate, then combined until last year(?) now separate. Correct me if I'm wrong, it's hard to keep up.

I can do you one better! I also have a program that notified Feb 8/9 the past few years. So I looked at which days those were in the 2010-2011 calendars! Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, FYI!
