My cat loves olive oil. Maybe they are on the Mediterranean diet.

I hope you don't have to wait much longer! You will recover, I promise.

I use http://www.citeulike.org at work, but plan to use Endnote when I have access to it.

OMG, want! And they are made in the USA!

I used to commute from Porter Square to Brandeis - it's very doable. Check out the cost of a monthly pass because that should save some money.

Personally, I think that it would benefit both of you to disclose this information up front. It would help you find a better match.

OP, I found this list - AZ is on it. http://www.collegexpress.com/lists/list/colleges-for-students-with-aspergers-the-very-friendly-ones/421/

Yeah, that album came out when I was in high school, and I saw them perform with Love & Rockets a few years later!

I am wondering if male MSWs tend to gravitate towards non-clinical roles. I work with 5 of them on a regular basis; we are in evaluation/business intelligence.

Casual or business casual will be fine.

I've been using The Fresh 20 for a few months and recommend it if you are in a recipe rut! The subscription is about $5/month (I used a Groupon, so it's even less) and the groceries for 5 days of dinners cost about $50-55/week.

Thought I would update this. They are OK with me working part time and putting off TAing for a year. Very relieved. Thanks again to everyone who commented.

Pixies just celebrated the 25th anniversary of Surfer Rosa.

Thanks for your thoughtful comments. I actually want to TA. However, they won't allow additional work on top of the 20 hours of TAing - which makes total sense. I'm 40 years old. I have a career. If pursuing a PhD at doesn't work out, it won't be the end of the world - just a part of my journey. I have reasons to believe that I could make this work; I'm an experienced project manager and I see this as a long term personal project.

Hey Grace187, there seems to be an echo in here. (I've done this on my mobile at least once...) Having time to just do research and school work sounds very satisfying. Enjoy it!

The other side of being accepted....shopping and planning the trip! :D

Similar here - I finally have the impetus to work on my home office in earnest! And my husband and I are office supply junkies... I join you in dorkitude. -

Starting grad school after a really difficult break up?

This is a tangential aside, but I hope you'll find some amusement in this. I moved from Boston to Chicago when I got my master's. I thought I was leaving a lot of stuff behind me - no! The guy who never gave me closure back in Boston... ended up going to the same university, at the same time. I kept seeing him on campus. Once I had to share a plane with him. Another time, he was coming up a stairway while I was coming down. UGHHHH! Chances are, this won't happen to you! -
My main motivation for going to graduate school is personal fulfillment as well as to gain skills and knowledge. I want to do applied research in my field (public behavioral health) at the state agency where I work. Teaching experience would be nice, but I don't plan to pursue a tenure track position. No, I could not make ends meet at my current funding level. My spouse was laid off recently, unexpectedly, and we have a mortgage. Ultimately, if I were to choose between going to grad school and staying in this job, I would choose the latter. I hope I don't have to, but... life is full of twists and turns.

UChicago- MAPSS... Go for it or not so much?

Check out the thread above. I had to enroll in the summer quarter to finish, but I did finish in one year! -
So, I feel like I'm on an emotional roller coaster more than ever. I've received full funding, but... I'm an older student with a secure state job (and bills to pay.) It seems like my best option (for now) might be to go down to 20 hours at this position (would make 2x TA stipend amount) and pay tuition. I have money in a 529 and I might be able to get reimbursed for some classes through work. I can work on getting funding for next year. I think I'll feel better about things once I get some answers from HR, director of graduate studies, etc. But I'm anxious about making this work and am doubting myself. Anyone else in a similar situation? I'm very aware that this is a first world problem... sorry.

eBags.com has a lot of selection. Also, the Coach factory outlet sells on eBay now, so if you're into online shopping like me that might be worth a look. I am trying to make myself wait before buying, as I'm thinking about a new laptop... tough, though.

I do understand a little about how you feel; I was disappointed in myself when I didn't continue on for the PhD (I was 25). I also had a similar friend situation. As you progress in life, you'll have new experiences and make new accomplishments, and those will fulfill you more than you can imagine right now. I've spent 15 years doing research with a master's. I supervise 2 PhDs and one PhD candidate.
