Great news! Congratulations . I really hope I hear something from them soon.

Don't lose hope! Good luck! I wish universities were more consistent sending out decisions. I also wish they wouldn't take so long, so that people have time to decide before the deadline to be able to give the opportunity to others, and so that people have time to visit and whatnot. *Sigh*

For all of those waiting on UCSD: I got the official acceptance email this morning (3am EST, midnight California time). Hope you all hear some good news today as well!
-
That's very exciting! Congrats!
-
Sorry about thay daykid! Good luck!
-
Apparently! I just feel like it'd be money well-spent if we get some results soon (hopefully acceptances), right?!
-
Wow! Congratulations on the acceptances! Wohooo!

Some universities are really taking their time! CUNY's application deadline was December 1st, and it was also the most expensive one ($125). I haven't heard anything yet.

I have one in Michigan (so scared of the cold!)

Women's and gender studies theory question
sarab replied to Imaginary's topic in Interdisciplinary Studies
Sorry about that! And I really want to read Janet Mock's book. She's flawless. I think her and Laverne Cox and other amazing trans women and activists are the voice of intersectional feminism of today. -

Yes, yes! Whipping Girl by Julia Serano is also great. -
Lovely dog overworkedta! So glad you rescued him!

Hahaha I seriously just laughed so much! It really does feel like that though. Thanks for the comic relief!

Not many results today... or maybe I just don't see any results because they're not the my results? Hehe. Let's hope decisions pick up tomorrow!
-
Well, living in "Hotlanta", I usually wear dresses or skirts (not short, obviously), flats, sandals, dress pants and khakis are also comfortable. I like to wear a lot necklaces a lot. Maybe capri or ankle pants are also appropriate for grad school (I'm sure they are).
-
Yes, I wouldn't wear one during the late spring and summer in Georgia either, but you know, depends on where you're going.
-
That is an interesting book!
-
Congratulations! That's really exciting. Hope you get good funding

Apparently those are from last week. The notifications dates are the 10th and the 14th. I wonder who got them and for what subfield?
-
I haven't heard anything. The first result from last year was on February 14th, so I guess we should expect something soon. They're closed tomorrow for the holiday though
-
There's but no one has posted since November of last year, so maybe a new one is good! I have 5 pets! I already posted pictures of them in the other thread, so I don't know if I should post them again.

That's great! He's not in the anthro department though, right?
-
Haha, makes sense! My advisor was one of his students. I did add quite a few that I've just stumbled upon on my own. My university didn't have a linguistic anthropology class until my last semester when I had already met all my anthro requirements and was already writing my thesis. Edit: I got to meet Charles and his wife Candy (Marjorie) at the Chicago AAAs, and they are just so so so sweet! Candy is seriously the sweetest ever.

Was this today?! Congratulations!
