  1. Hey I've been wait listed as well and I've read that it is approx. 75 people in previous years forums although I haven't confirmed with Angela. Coming from my own thought process though it doesn't make sense to have more than that on the wait list (especially because it's not ranked) it would take them forever to re-review more than ~75 applications. Also it could just be that many people on this forum are suitable candidates so that's why a lot of us have been wait listed or accepted. Best of luck!
  2. Hey superanxious, congrats on the acceptance! Does your MyFile say reviewed successful or anything? I really hate being in this no decision yet limbo -.- lol
  3. Yeah I guess so I just found it odd that some people's myfile shows that they have been rejected.
  4. Just wondering does anyone else's MyFile still say no decision yet (for York 2 year msw)?
  5. Hey did you find the decision in MyFile under "application status" or somewhere else? Also congrats on your acceptance to UWO
  6. Thank you ma989 for this information. Also I was just wondering since this is your second time applying to the two year program what did you change to boost your application this year? (if you don't mind my asking)
  7. Hi Everyone, I am just wondering if anyone who has sent updated resumes in the past (to UofT) knows whether you have to follow the same structure as during the application process (i.e., hours per position)? Thanks
  8. That is a really good question, I was just thinking about how annoying I am getting to everyone with these references. Especially with UofT because it was a much more detailed form to fill out (and mail in if it isn't a professor).
  9. Thanks jaylynn for the response, that's good to know
  10. Hi Everyone! I received my letter from UofT and was pleasantly greeted with a wait-list offer. I am considering this a big accomplishment as I was fearing an outright rejection. I realize I probably won't get in through the wait-list but just knowing that I was close makes me even more motivated to get my experience up and apply again next year. I wanted to say thank you to everyone here for all the encouraging stories of re-applying I can't be disappointed seeing how much you have all earned your spots in the program. Also I have a question - it says that you can send an updated transcript if you haven't graduated, which is my case, and I will do that. However I am wondering about sending updates if you gain volunteer/work experience during the summer, does anyone know if that is allowed? They say in the letter there is no order to the wait-list and that applications get reviewed when spots open so I want to add on as I am beginning more volunteering this month.

  12. Congrats, that is what the accepted applicants see on their status:)
  13. Hey Lightning1129, you might still hear back from York. They usually use a rolling admissions system so they might not have sent out all emails on Monday. They are sending letters out within 2 weeks- guaranteed.
  14. I feel you, I_c, there is no change on mine either so I'm presuming this means rejection. I really want to get the letter so I can just accept it, officially. I am still mentally coming up with 100 alternatives for why it hasn't changed though lol. Congrats to everyone who was accepted!
  15. I_c I hope so too at least then "no registration" well mean something cause right now I'm thinking it means "rejected"
  16. Thank you KatRousi for that amazing post, I really needed to read something like that. I think we all forget sometimes how much we can learn from failure- something I am trying to keep in mind as I know my chances are not all that great for getting in first round. and Supu thank you so much for posting that, it is so nice to finally have a date! I know that ROSI showed the acceptances a few days before the letter arrived so now I am wondering if it will be the same for the two year. Best of luck to everyone!
  17. It is officially April! Can't wait to get all this waiting over with

  18. Congrats! Did you receive the email during the day or at night (if you don't mind my asking)
  19. I know! I envy the teacher's college applicants they find out from the schools today online. Meanwhile I am here obsessively checking my e-mail every 10 minutes
  20. Hi laura016, as much as I hate to admit that I've begun accepting being rejected at York when I spoke to the admissions office today I was told decisions would all be out in 2 weeks. I've heard of York using a rolling admissions process in the past so there is still hope. Today may have been acceptances for their strongest applicants but probably not everyone.
  21. From what I understand it appears on the first page when you sign in, for example mine still says "No Registration History" but if I were to get accepted it would change to "invited" and some other info
  22. I'm starting to get nervous that York emailed out all the acceptances today but I know they usually take longer than a day well here's hoping there's still a chance
  23. Jax14 I would call and ask if they are still in the process of sending responses for advanced standing my call was answered very quickly. Best of luck!
  24. Thank you pregnantseahorse for the response. I hope you get in (I'm sure many people will reject the York offer for uoft) so I'm keeping fingers crossed for you:)
  25. For those accepted at York I'm just wondering if your status on your myfile changed to decision made or accepted or anything else?
