Yes, I had one January 15th deadline! Also had one on January 1st and one on January 3rd. The rest were in December. I've been expecting to hear something all week. Alas, nothing yet.

Hahaha it is a ball of soft cheese in which you dip pretzels, bread, crackers, or chips (crisps... Heck, I'd dip fries in it too though. I don't discriminate). It often has a crispy coating made of like thinly sliced almonds or something. The cheeseball I made was a blend of cream cheese, butter, and a spice mix packet. So it's more like cream cheese, but it tastes great, and I don't even like cream cheese! And thank you so much! Ah! I can't wait to hear some nugget of news.

That sounds delicious! All I did today was make grilled cheese, tomato soup, and I just made a cheeseball which I am very excited about! My husband is bringing home dinner tonight, so I'm very excited about foooooooood!! YAY I'm so glad you got some emails! That's the dream! I can't wait to start getting PhD program-related emails!

Was Temple one of your top choices? If so, I hope that someone declines their offer so you can get in! Meanwhile, I still haven't heard a peep. Expecting news (trying to mentally prepare for rejection so that acceptances are a nice surprise!) soon enough though.

Wow really? I haven't heard anything about schools closing yet! I'm up here in PA, and the storm isn't supposed to start for us til this evening! In fact, I'm gonna get a haircut tonight before it hits Check the websites of the schools to which you're applying! Maybe they're open today after all! :-D

Not a funny one, but I wanted to offer this to whoever posted that: *hugs* stay strong, friend.

*raises mug of coffee to you* things have been slow over here with your sister discipline, sociology. Some sociology programs have sent out acceptances, but not many. What keeps me going is that the longer wait means they're taking their time to really go through each application. But it's so hard to keep the patience, I know!

*paces around thread* Woke up to - - no, not an acceptance - - NO Internet!! What!! I thought, for sure, that I had missed *THE* email because of no Internet access, so I tried to busy myself by using the super slow 3g, having breakfast, getting dressed, and fixing my hair. Got Internet back, and... Of course I missed nothing at all haha! I know I'm going to get some kind of notice (acceptance, Interview, rejection) whenever I'm *not* obsessing about this process. It'll just show up when I'm taking out the trash or taking a nap etc. I know it!

I'm on mobile so I can't see red's signature/list of programs! Of all days for my Internet to go out, and I'm left with fussy 3g! At least I have 3g, but it only works when it feels like it. I do not wanna miss an email!

I was in a good deal of pain last night (chronic illness, for the lose) so I took some medicine for it, but still didn't sleep well. Despite it being non-narcotic, the med still makes me sleepy/out of it, even though I took it 12 hours ago, so I've been trying to have a little snooze throughout the day (always foiled by the sounds of children running around upstairs but I don't mind because they're children and it's daytime and I shouldn't be snoozing anyway). Anyway, recently groggily checked the Results page and saw another interview for one of the programs I applied to... The feeling of dizzy, numb anxiety is pretty indescribable. I can't wait to hear back either way, soon... From any program. Any word would be so nice! I know this is a lesson in patience though, and I've gotta try to learn the lesson while it's happening.

Oh my goodness, another Emory interview on the Results page! Congrats to whomever it was! I'm getting so worked up at the prospect of possibly earning an interview or hearing back at all!
