I will likely not accept my offer at Rush, so I hope you end up on the wait-list and I can help you out! You look like you have some amazing choices already though! Best of luck!

I am unsure if they accepted everyone in one email, but I have received many supplemental emails since I was accepted so it seems like they may have. They also have their open house in a couple of weeks so I imagine if you haven't heard soon you will! Best of luck! -

I would also love feedback on NYU, I've read very mixed reviews on the program. Also interested in reviews on MGH! -

Thank you!! I am unsure if I will even attend NYU at this point, I am definitely highly considering it but I was accepted at some other programs as well so it is a hard decision. I likely will not do the teaching scholarship. I am not from New York originally and would like the option to move home after graduate school. Since the teaching scholarship requires multiple years of commitment following graduation, I just don't want to be stuck in that situation and limited from being able to move. It definitely is a great opportunity though, I think if I were from New York or at least the east coast I would go for it! One of my biggest concerns with NYU is the cost, so it definitely would help with that considerably! -

I am unsure what their exact acceptance rate is, but I applied this year and was recently accepted and my letter stated that there were over 400 applicants and I believe they accept around 50. That information is also all on EdFind. -
I would love to get in on this discussion as well. I was also accepted to MGH, as well as NYU, Rush and UMN-Twin Cities. I am also still waiting on, TC Columbia, ASU, and KU. I am thrilled and honored to be in this position, but I never anticipated it and am completely overwhelmed. If anyone has any opinions good/bad, or reasons that any of these programs stand out I would love for any input that anybody has! I don't want the cost of tuition to be the only thing that I consider, I really just want to be at the best program for me! I wish I knew exactly what it was that I am interested in, but one of the reasons I love the SLP field is that you have so many opportunities to do different things and don't need to narrow it down, so that probably doesn't help much with advice on specific things that programs offer Anyway, any input anyone has would be much appreciated!

Hi everyone! Congrats on all of your acceptance! I was starting to get nervous that I was out, but I just just accepted this morning! This was one of my top choices so I am thrilled. Is everyone considering going to the open house? I have no idea how to choose between schools and naturally they all fall on similar weekends, and it gets to be a lot of money in flights since I am all the way from Minnesota! How do we make a decision?! I am already so overwhelmed, but it's a good problem to have Congrats again everyone! -
Yes they did!

I am also hoping to attend the open house on the 25th! Definitely considering attending Rush, but have other schools to consider as well! Hoping the open house will give me a better idea, I don't know a ton about their program outside of their unique practicum placement and having 6 external placements.

Is anybody planning to go to the open house on April 1st? I received the correction email stating it was AM not PM, and it also mentioned that we would be receiving a formal invitation with RSVP shortly, however I never received that yesterday afternoon. Did anyone else get it?

Would someone be able to explain the DOE scholarship to me a bit? I am a bit confused about who is qualified for this and what the requirements are. Thanks for all of your help!

I believe that if you completed FAFSA by their Feb 1 deadline, you will receive a financial aid package by the end of March.
-
Rush sent out acceptances this morning!
-
I believe that we have until April 15th, or 3 weeks after you received the acceptance, whichever come later it says! Assuming yours says the same as mine, you won't have to make a decision quite as quickly! It's great to know they have good facilities and excellent teachers though. I am definetly considering going there now if the financial package works out as well. Definitely wish they had an open house, but also plan to visit before making an official decision.

My acceptance email from NYU said we would receive financial aid packages by the end of March, as long as you completed FAFSA by February 1st!

Hi Everyone, I was just accepted to NYU, which I am shocked by! I applied to this program mostly dreaming about living in New York, but never really thought it would become a reality! I was just hoping to start a thread where people could share more about this program. I honestly don't know much about the program, so anything that anyone has to share would be most appreciated! I am especially concerned about the cost of tuition/living. I didn't see anything about an accepted student open house, I'm not sure if that will come later, but I would love to learn as much as I can about the program before having to make a decision! Thanks!

I saw a couple of posts regarding rejections and waitlistings at the University of Minnesota- twin cities. Has anyone been accepted yet?

Regarding the Rush supplemental applications, does anyone know if this is something everyone is invited to do, or do they actually slim down the applicants quite a bit? Thanks!
