    Well that's true. and I didn't realize that there're still so many grad students applying for on-campus housing (or it's just too few spots). Hope you can enjoy the new home anyway! I'll keep my finger crossed about the winter! Don't wanna die in coldness lol. But I saw pictures in spring and summer, amazingly beautiful!

    @GvhYeah quite some people told me so, I can't wait to see the campus! I will probably apply for on-campus housing for the first year and look for places when I'm already there. Maybe you could set up a Skype with your potential landlord and let him show you the house to get some idea!

    8 people! They recruited so few people each year... I'm still disappointed a little about not making it to NYU! @FeelTheBern lol @Gvh Great idea! I'm going to McGill at the end! Besides thrilled, I start to realize tons of annoying visa issues I'm facing now.

    Thank you for so many positive and energetic inputs @FeelTheBern, really made me feel better about this decision and the life in Montreal! I'm a little scary but more excited about this new life. btw I have no chance to apply for PhD again, as I'm heading to McGill for PhD ! But I'll keep my dream for NYC as always!! Anyway, you could always visit Montreal for a weekend or a couple of days as well!

    Hope everything is happy with the final accepted offer! I'll make my way to McGill in Montreal. As so much love in New York University, I'll definitely visit NYC couple of times!!! Maybe could meet you and your SO in some conferences lol @FeelTheBern

    Seems the faculty supervision is very limited, I'm trying to ask about the possibility of getting involved in a certain lab before I make a decision. But I really get frustrated to get in touch with the faculty at NYU. Any tips about how to reach the PIs for international student, except emails?

    @FeelTheBern @passenger47 Yes the percentages are right on NYU Psy-MA website, also they mentioned there're about 200 active MA students at any time in their program. So it makes sense that each year more or less 100 students enroll in the program. @passenger47 That's really early... I just receive the AD yesterday

    Anyone heard of this Institute, affiliated with McGill University? What's its relationship with Montreal Neurological Institute and what are their strengths/disadvantages? I once heard from my friend saying that one institute in McGill is fantastic and with high reputation in cognitive neuroscience. But I just found out there're actually these two institutes and I'm confused. Would anyone give some introductions about them? Thanks a lot!

    I got one more question about this research job issue. Is it very rare and difficult for an international student to find this kind of research assistant job in the USA?

    I also think for MA it's not necessary of interview processes, so I would not say MA admission without interview means less strict selectivity. BTW, anyone considering MA programs in NYU?

    I'm currently thinking of backup plans like taking another Master program. Anyone had any experience especially about NYU general psychology MA program (rejected to PhD but admitted to MA)?

    @FeelTheBern Good..! Yesterday I saw someone hearing from Tufts and posted on the result survey and I was like ... ! That's the only program which I still hold some hopes on now! Keep finger crossed

    Congrats to @Gvh and @St0chastic! You nailed this application season! I feel exactly the same as I heard from only one program up till now. I'm thinking of backup plans like applying to stay at my home lab for one year RA already... P.S. Have anyone applying for Tufts heard anything yet?

    For the mates getting interview from Columbia University... Was the notification from POI or generally the department?

    Is it common that the department tends to deal with clinical/education psychology first? As there're not many cognitive neuroscience/psychology interviews out in the result session yet.

    Nope, I applied to 5 programs. But only got one interview from UC riverside till now... Every day is so nervous
