Today on "Stupid things PFB has done..." Last year, I bought a bike in Boulder to use for the summer - the plan was to sell it at the end of the summer, but I never did because it was so cheap that I would've had to give it away. And since I bought a giant telescope while I was there, I couldn't fit the bike in my car to take back home... I was so sure I was going to go there for grad school that I left it there, locked to a bike rack at my old apartment. And stupid me didn't even use a combination lock that I could give someone the combination to. No no no, it was a key lock! In other news, if anyone is going to Boulder, has some bolt cutters, and wants a free bike, let me know I can't believe I just remembered this. I'm so incredibly stupid!

Am I the only one who is excited for this result not because I think I'm going to get it, but because admissions season being over has left a hole in my soul?

Same @hippyscientist... I think I may buy a new set of silverware... stuff that doesn't have crud baked on it from 20 years ago We can eat dinner together with our fancy silverware! You won't be too far away

And it came furnished, so all I have is a desk/chair and barstools (the end of my desk I also use as my dining room table.. hahahaha!) I thought about that, but I'm inheriting a lot of furniture from my parents who live here.... bed, mattress, couch, dresser, plus there's an IKEA nearby so I bought some more furniture (there's not one near Ithaca). MAN NOW YOU GOT ME ALL EXCITED TO HAVE FURNITURE!!! @hippyscientist I can't IMAGINE the cost of moving overseas... I don't know how you do it!

But yeah I understand.... moving is more expensive than I thought. I only considered the cost of the moving truck, not buying all new stuff when I get there (curtains, groceries, etc.)

Whoa... 2.5x your income for rent?! I'd be up a creek without a raft if that were the case for my new place. Heck, in the summer, my salary will be 0.8x my monthly rent
