  1. Oh, no! I'm talking about University of Arizona. I'm sorry!
  2. Haha I've been counting down until the deadline they gave us while secretly hoping they'd let us know this week. I hope they let us know before Spring Break!
  3. Did anyone else get an email from UA letting them know that they're in the process of going through applications still? Originally they said they'd have results by March 7th, but the email made it seem like we won't hear back until later.
  4. As a disclaimer, I don't know what the case is for every state! But from what I understand, if your parents are claiming you as a dependent then you're considered a resident of the state they're a resident of. So if they qualify as Tennessee residents and they're claiming you as a dependent, I think you would be considered a resident. Again though, I'd see what the qualifications are for Tennessee, specifically.
  5. I would also check the admissions results page and see when your school started sending out responses last year. If they didn't send out information until mid to late March, I'd consider waiting until then to contact them.
  6. EdFind will tell you how many funding offers each school gives out, but I'm not sure how accurate the data is. They don't specify how much money is given, but they do list the number of funding offers they make!
  7. No, that's totally understandable! The last thing you want is to get bad news when you're in an unfamiliar place AND in public. Hopefully you hear back before you leave!
  8. I wouldn't freak out! Based on the results page, a lot of schools start responding in March / around Spring Break.
  9. That was the only question I really managed to get in haha. That and what they do with students who don't have the BA/BS in the field.
  10. I think you might be able to get a hold of someone through the old NAU posts, or at least find some stuff out! I asked my cousin at NAU what she'd heard about the program but she never got back to me. ?
  11. It was a nice change, and I think it was a good experience. I'm kind of glad they kept it so short, just because I felt like I was starting to talk in circles. I really liked what they told me about UNM's clinical placements. Apparently we get to see a private practice, school-based, and more of a hospital setting. Plus, they have you work with kids and adults, which I was super excited about!
  12. For stuff like GA or TA positions, does the school offer them to you or do you apply for them? I've talked with GAs on my campus (who are admittedly in a different field) who had to apply for their positions. And, along those lines, would it be feasible for us to accept a GA position that wasn't speech / language related? I know the school I'm at right now has a lot of GA positions in stuff like student affairs and organizations.
  13. I did too. I didn't feel like they let me ask all of my questions because we were running out of time. Uh no. But, because I spend my free time during work creeping on the admissions page, I saw that last year they notified people sometime around March 7th, maybe March 11th. So I'm thinking second week of March.
  14. Do you like the program there? I haven't heard a lot about them, aside from their response time. Also, would you happen to know anything about 3 year program there? If anyone likes it, etc.
  15. I've noticed that too! I actually got on to ask if anyone has any information about the program here that they'd like to share. None of the other programs I've applied to are nearly as large as UTD's seems to be, and I'm wondering what a typical class would look like. Also, if anyone's visited the campus I'd love to hear your thoughts on it! I don't think I'll be able to go until after I've made a decision on which program I'd like to attend. I haven't been to UTD since I was a senior in high school, and I visited when everyone had left for Winter Break (so it was kind of deserted at the time).
  16. I had my phone interview on Monday. They mainly wanted to know stuff like why I was interested in this field, diversity in the clinic, and something else. They were really friendly, and once we figured out how to get the speaker phone to work it wasn't too bad! Have you had your interview yet?
  17. I saw that! I got really excited, but nothing's popped up since. I think that poster was accepted into the PhD program and that's why they heard back so soon. The MS students must still be processing.
  18. Hi! Long time creeper, first time poster. I was wondering if anyone's heard back from the University of Arizona yet? I haven't seen anything about their admissions.
