  1. Did anyone hear back for UCLA bioe masters?
  2. Did anyone hear back from UCLA master's program for bioengineering? I saw one forum post about it but I haven't heard back from them personally. Does that mean I got rejected? Anyone know? How about Boston U? I need to make a decision by April 15th.
  3. Hi: I am deciding between UCI and USC masters program currently and both schools rank around the same (30+). While I really like the campus and environment of USC, I feel like UCI offers a biomedical engineering/bioengineering program that I look for. I have a medical device background but during my undergraduate years I begin losing interest in it. It's basically EE and ME more so than bio. I also feel like biotech companies rather just recruit a EECS or ME person rather than a BioE. Thus, I am beginning to gravitate towards cellular/genetic engineering, a concentration not found at USC. While I feel like I already answered my own question, I want to see if anyone have any other convincing reasons that I might not know of about USC that will allow me to take the offer at USC. I low key really prefer it over UCI just because of the reputation and LA.
  4. I wish I read this as a freshmen hahaha. Good advices. Which undergraduate school did you go to? I am in the BioE field as well.
  5. I am pretty sure you can change your decision. How else would students on the waitlist change their schools when they do get accepted to the school of their choice? They must have already accepted another school's offer by then.
  6. omg I signed up just to comment on this because this exact thing happened to me. My professor lagged so hard that he sent it in late for at least 2 weeks. I asked him in September of 2015 and he didn't sent in until late January. Not only that, he did not send it to all the schools I asked him to send. I was rejected from three schools with an early Dec deadline (UCSD, University of Washington, and Riverside). During that month I was stressed as balls as I was out of the country and could not find him in person. I finally made him respond by emailing my undergraduate adviser to put pressure on him. With that, I was able to make him write my letters. Thankfully all turned out well and I was accepted to USC and UC Irvine, both are decent schools. Still waiting on UCLA, Rice, and Boston University. I cannot force him to write it but I was legitimately pissed off at him. He destroyed my chances for three schools.
