plume got a reaction from NorCalSLPA in SLP Programs with more of a medical focus: Can anyone add to my list?
    NY Medical

@speechfan222 As most SLPs take jobs in schools, I imagine that there are not more job opportunities if you focus to a school that is medically-focused. You can practice in any setting as an SLP, no matter where you go to school (as long as it is accredited). Medically-focused programs just usually offer more clinical opportunities in medical settings (which may translate to an easier time obtaining a med position after school) and may offer more courses in medical topics.

I just have to vent and say that I hate this waiting process. I won't hear from most of my programs until mid or late March.... are they torturing us on purpose???

Also, I second H&M, but also Express. You can also find good deals at Nordstrom Rack.

That's not silly! I think we would all by lying if we said we didn't worry about our interview attire
I second that the cropped look is great! Just as long as you look neat, put together, and comfortable.

I also think it depends on location. Business casual (slacks or skirt with sweater or blouse) would work for most programs, but I was told to dress in a suit in more conservative locations. However, I have only interviewed for professional jobs before, not grad programs!

Hey! I am at currently a grad student at LIU. Like many programs, they recommend not working because they want us to be available for the clinic... However, I just started teaching English online to kids in China and it is the perfect job for a SLP grad student! The job is super easy, they provide a curriculum to follow and the kids are really cute! You teach one on one classes via webcam. The hours are early morning and evenings and you make your own schedule! Pay is between $16-22/hr (based on experience and interview). The company is called VIPKID and I think they are still hiring teachers at the moment. You can apply with this link:  https://t.vipkid.com.cn/?refereeId=3109528

I don't know if you can private message people, but you are welcome to message me! I grew up in Phoenix, and went to college in Tucson! Do you like the heat?
I now live in Indiana since my mom lives here while I work, go to school (prereqs), and apply to graduate school. Moving away made me miss AZ, but I don't want to end up there if that makes sense.
I'm not a big fan of the heat, but Tucson is on avg cooler than Phoenix (usually). UofA is wonderful, I loved it there. Tucson is definitely different than Phx. Everything in Phx seems new since the suburb I'm from is only about 20 years old in the first place. But its eccentric in a good way.

Sorry, I don't, but I do know that CU, NM State, and U of AZ don't. I also read on one school's website that I am applying to that they will sometimes interview in special cases, but applicants are usually admitted based off of their paper application.
