  1. Also we're supposed to be emailed tomorrow if we've been successful for NPSIA right?
  2. Amazing!! Looking forward to this week. Hopefully next weekend we'll all be celebrating with some much needed drinks!
  3. This is the week my friends. It seems like we will be hearing from NPSIA and GSPIA, Carleton MPPA this week and probs Munk. I feel you - I work full-time so every day I obsessively check my emails and portals. HERE IS TO ANOTHER WEEK FRIENDS! Wishing you guys the best
  4. 32k could literally change your life. Phil Ryan from their SPPA program notified me last week that he was recommending me for admission and that offers will be sent out this week. Definitely excited and anxious to hear back! Fingers crossed
  5. Do you still plan on living from home during grad studies? I also live at home in Ottawa - born and raised here ( I'm in the boring east end suburbs tho).
  6. Does anyone know the highest funding offer GSPIA/NPSIA/Carleton MPPA has given in the past?

  8. If you are already going to be specializing in development, and their funding offer is amazing, I would go with the uOttawa development program. I think you will learn the same things ( you have to do an MRP anyways for GSPIA too, and I imagine you would be doing it on the same topic regardless of GSPIA or SIDGS, so really the difference is a few courses? I'm sure the development courses at GSPIA are the same ones at SIDGS anyways) The coop opportunities will likely be really similar to be honest - federal government.
  9. For those who have been accepted so far, did you ever end up receiving an acceptance email? Or is it strictly from the uoZone portal?
  10. Yeah I tried to email! I email api@uottawa tho - they respond quicker! I'm hoping to get something today but not going to hold my breath haha. I was hoping this weekend I could have some celebrations! The anxiety is real. Thank you for your response! I hope you hear some good news today
  11. Another day of nothing I'm confused..uOttawa said I should receive an answer this week because my file was in evaluation for financial aid. I guess there's tomorrow.
  12. I think GSPIA is good because it is both public and international affairs like you said. I think with a degree in international affairs you will still be prepared to work in domestic policy, just with a bit more specialization. I almost feel like getting a degree from NPSIA gives you a better advantage it's almost like a "step up", as opposed to strictly learning domestic policy. Personally, with GSPIA or NPSIA you can work in government or private. I don't think international affairs limits you to GAC or anything like that. If anything more government departments are increasing their "international affairs" branches within their respective departments ( such as Environment and Climate Change Canada, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, think tanks, etc). I think it is very versatile and will continue to increase in demand.
  13. Good eye! Those courses look awesome, especially in comparison to the MPA program at uOttawa. Thank you for your help
  14. Can anyone give insight into the pros/cons of doing an MPPA vs say, the degree from GSPIA/NPSIA?
  15. I will probably go with the program that gives me the most funding (within reason). GSPIA and NPSIA are the dream though - damn those programs look amazing. Side note: Does anyone have any tips on staying sane? I literally refresh all my emails and statuses every like 5 minutes at work and it's driving me crazy. It's getting hard to focus on my actual work tasks haha
