Rejected from Kentucky. Today has been a shit show. Work computer had a meltdown and stopped functioning (in the AM- so I had to teach 200 high schoolers / community college students with 0 tech and 0 warning of 0 tech) Tag is expired so I had to brave the DMV And my gradschool e-mail address is expiring (they told me TODAY, with 1 day warning)- so I had to rush home and change all of my e-mails (for credit cards, loans, electric bill, social media) ,and contact 9 different departments that the e-mail is changing I need some prayers for peace (or positive thoughts- whatever floats your boat).

Anyone heard anything from Iowa??? Also- Alabama? I know that my other programs make decisions later, but checking trends- these two should have said something by now? Not too sure though.

Did anyone else apply to the "applied psych" programs at Southern Illinois at Carbondale, or Northern Illinois University? (They combine social and I/O).

Just got a physical paper rejection from Wyoming. Kind of heartbroken, because I wanted to go out west. 8 more to go! (P.S., did anyone get an Iowa interview yet?)

Update :Anyone waiting for Ole Miss- they haven't made decisions yet, they will be sending out letters in the next 2 weeks. Also, anyone who said that they were rejected from Iowa-- did you get a formal rejection letter/e-mail, or is it an assumed rejection?

How did you get the e-mail??? Was it from a POI,or did you contact them? I'm nervous that i'll get a rejection Also, Im sorry you weren't invited- I really hope that you get good news!! Plus, you could be on the short list for wait list ?

Spoke to someone at Nebraska- invites already went out. If you're waiting but haven't gotten an outright rejection- you're in 2nd tier- maybe back up?

Celebrating because today is the last due-date of any of my applications (Southern Illinios at Carbondale)!!! I really hope that we get feedback this month (preferably good news - as soon as possible!)

Just found out that I got wait listed at one of my top schools. I wonder if this is good or bad? My POI told me that he has extended offers to his short list and that they have until April 15th- but he has asked them to respond before. If one of them rejects, I will be offered the position. I am conflicted. This is good news because it means I may get in SOMEWHERE, but also, I am worried that nobody will reject their acceptance. I was wait listed for my masters program, and managed to get in... does anyone have experience dealing with the wait list at the PhD level? The program is phenomenal , but lacks some of the funding that others offer- maybe this will sway people to reject ? Still waiting for 9 programs to respond, but at least this isn't outright rejection. Honestly just posting for reassurance/ thoughts.

nothing from iowa yet. Also waiting on Florida State, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois at Carbondale, Wyoming, Nebraska,Kentucky,Ole Miss ,Bama,and to hear back from a phone interview. Anyone have news from any of these???

If I don't get responses soon im going to lose it . I'm already talking myself out of writing e-mail inquiries! It is awesome to have the community !

This forum is saving me. Being able to "plan" or "strategize" in some perceived way is invaluable Honestly it also helps as an outlet to talk about it, because I don't want to talk my friends and coworkers to death!
