Did you hear anything back from UBCO? If so, which program did you apply to (MA/PhD/clinical/counseling/etc), did you interview, and when did you receive a response (official or unofficial)? Sorry for all of the questions! I haven't received an official response yet. So, I was wondering if other people are starting to hear back. By the way, congratulations on your acceptance to UNB's clinical program! That is absolutely fantastic.

I'm Sorry! That really sucks. I know how you feel. This process is illuminating, exciting, and a great learning experience, but it is also pretty rough on one's self-esteem. I hope one of your other prospects works out in your favor. Good luck!!!!- 1,055 replies

Thank you so much for posting this and congratulations on your top choice acceptance! I am so happy for you. I was starting to feel like waitlist acceptances never happen. Even if it is not the case for me, it is just nice to hear it worked out for someone on a waitlist.

Waitlist Movement
FluffyPancakes replied to Scarlet A+'s topic in Literature, and Rhetoric and Composition
Like Cheldorado & anxiousgrad, I would love to hear advise on this subject. I am also wait-listed. I have spoken to my professor of interest a few times after my interview to express my gratitude and inquire about my application status. All I know is that I am wait-listed, but nothing about the size of the list or where I am on it. I was thinking about reaching out again on April 1st. My reasoning behind that date is that most offers will be out, many for a while, and people will have had a chance to think about them as well as possibly respond to them. I hope that this request will come close enough to the response due date, April 15th, to allow for some movement on the list (for a more accurate judgement of my likelihood of acceptance) but not past the time I can express my interest once more before all decisions are final. My last contact with this university was at the end of February. I'm not sure if waiting until April is too long or contacting them again in general is just too much. -

During my interview process, they let us know when we should expect an answer, so I waited a few days after the expected "hear-something-by" date. I plan to inquire about my place on the list in April. I don't think the time-frame matters too much, honestly. I think if you write a thoughtful email requesting information, it shows you are eager and interested in the program.- 1,055 replies

You may be on a few wait-lists like BeezKnees said. Not all school tell you that you have been wait-listed. You could politely inquire about your application status to your professor of interest or the admissions team. I wrote an email expressing my continued interest in the program and professor as well as asking about my status. I was promptly told I was on a wait-list. I hope that helps! Good luck!- 1,055 replies

Thank you! Any information helps! Superfruitpsych - Congrats to your friend! That is awesome. All of the people I met at interviews were absolutely amazing, so I am confident in saying she deserves it! If you don't mind my asking, did she apply to the Clinical Psych PhD or MA? Does she think she'll accept? FacelessMage - If I hear anything about the wait-list or rejections, I will be sure to post about it here. I do know there is a wait-list, but I do not know anything about the size or likelihood of anyone being accepted from it.- 1,055 replies

Anyone apply to the University of British Columbia - Okanagan? Have you heard anything? If accepted or wait-listed, do you think you'll attend? I believe offers have been extended, is it likely there will be a second round?- 1,055 replies
