    So happy to see folks getting alternates and offers! I was rejected by all 3 of the schools, so I need to go back to the drawing table with my proposals and craft a better application.

    "The results of the 2021 CGS M competition will be available in the research portal starting April 1, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. (ET). All applicants will have access to the research portal to obtain their results on April 1" from the official emails folks, lets crash that portal at 8am hahaaha

    Yeah lol I think I don't stand a chance, my proposal is prob too sshrc-ish for CIHR anyway. Well there's always the doctoral awards next year lololol

    They let me know my application wasn't discussed. "The Departmental evaluation of CGSM applications has been completed. The number and quality of applications we received was extremely high, making the work of the selection committees very difficult. I regret to inform you that your application is not among those that were forwarded to the McGill Fellowships Office for further consideration."

    yep. Gonna have my ass kicked but fingers crossed anyway. I already know I didn't get McGill, so hoping for UofT and Queens.

    Heard from McGill (via email) that I was rejected. The other 2 are a mystery so guess we'll see on April 1st?

    Mcgill is the only accredited clinical science school (by PCSAS). Western, UTSC, and UBC (I think?) also follow a clinical science model (based on self-reported orientation).

    UCSD/SDSU's email update said invites would be sent out end of the month so not sure why folks are surprised that the post was fake given it directly contradicted official word from the department

    Anyone heard back from Western? Interviews are in two weeks, and with only 3 faculty recruiting (1 of which I know might not recruit at all), I wouldn't be surprised if Western end up not taking any students this year.

    This has been asked multiple times here and its worth making a thread for this--it's all speculation at this point as its early on and we are not faculty but I am curious to see what folks think/end up doing. It'd be interesting to track on its own thread.

    I suspect this has happened (more #of applicants AND more schools per applicant), but I think this will change things by way of 1.) a faster moving waitlist, and possibly 2.) a second round of interviews
