  1. Neither did mine! ended up having to attach a document in the hopes they wouldn't read it ?
  2. I emailed a school for this and asked for them to be removed from my file. Kinda felt like a Karen for it, but I feel better about my application without the GREs (or at least knowing that I stood up for myself!).
  3. Crazy that rejections are coming out so quick, but its definitely better than being strung along until like--March. Keep your chin up--plenty of time left!
  4. I did it, and I didn't really care. If their process is indeed fair/optional, we should have the right to *not* have our scores viewed if we don't want them to be. To me, it seems like basic courtesy, and doing otherwise would disadvantage repeat applicants. I'd think programs understand that as well.
  5. School: University of Delaware Type: Clinical PhD Date of invite: December 16 Type of invite: Invite to official interview event from graduate program director. For reference, U Del are doing an info/Q&A session for the whole department on the day of, with additional individual/program-specific interviews/sessions TBD (possibly not on the same day, not sure yet). Interesting to see how interviews will go this year. Interview date(s): January 19 DM for POI: Yes
  6. Yeah the email seems to be the graduate school checking minimum requirements before passing it to the psych department. @tiredoftheseapplicationsi'm sorry you got this news so early--don't be discouraged!
  7. How did Ryerson already send rejections out? Seems unlikely that the email you received was a rejection per say
  8. Depends by program--some look at who's last taken a student, who has the need (i.e., number of students in the lab), federal funding held, etc.
  9. School: University of Delaware Type: Clinical PhD Date of invite: December 8 Type of invite: Email from POI for (preliminary) Zoom interview Interview date(s): December 10 DM for POI: Yes Seeing the results section populated but not here--lets get this going!
  10. Not to be crass but I hate this nepotism stuff and how it perpetuates inequitable access to the profession.
  11. Results page is always a shitstorm lol, hopefully we keep this thread nice and tidy
  12. Thirding this, acknowledgments are nice but don't belong on a CV. If anything, in interviews you can mention I did x and was acknowledged in y.
  13. Yeah--think its going to come down to who has the strongest CVs this year.
  14. I feel like everything is going to come down to research experience/output and how well these align with the current/future work of the PI's lab.
  15. Compelling if any of these points are true or rooted in some logic. International situation depends per school, some internationals can hold external funding from non-US funding sources in the US.
  16. There is a 1% chance of getting into a clinical psych PhD program this year. Nervous laughter
  17. Can we add in the template POI available upon pm (or something like this): yes/no Every year these things are clogged by (well-meaning and anxious) users spamming the threads with "omg can you tell me/pm me your POI". If we can add in that prompt, people who wish to be contacted and share their POI can say so and receive private messages accordingly. Just a suggestion!
  18. Think it also depends on the methods you propose; i could see how say cognitive bias modification or cognitive remediation could fall under SSHRC's mandate as well. I think it could be either but it certainly does not sound like CIHR. I'd recommend searching funded projects in each agency with keywords similar to yours to see what has been funded on that topic and what is different between areas.
  19. unless you're proposing to the cognitive work in a clinical population it'd be either NSERC or SSHRC.
  20. 800 for a clinical program alone is INSANE, good luck to admissions staff this year.
  21. and vice versa--upon submitting the funding CV, it updates the generic CV!
  22. Good to know everyone's as panicked about SOP word limits as I am
