Hearing all of these UChicago rejections is making me so nervous. I know I am not admitted (no interview), but I haven't received an email and the web portal still says it has no decision documents for me! Give me the sweet release of death, UChicago!!!

I can't believe I received an email on super bowl Sunday, but I just got an acceptance email from my POI at the University of South Florida. The email said that the DGS should reach out in the next few days.

Nope, still says "Received." The email just came through though, so they can't take it back now!

ooooh boy. When I started my MFA I transported two chihuahuas - one fairly ordinary, playful dog, and one with an anxiety disorder so bad our vets keep asking if he'll take medication (Matzo's really only that bad IN the vets office, otherwise his fear/anxiety are manageable) - from Southern California to Philadelphia by car. We'll call it an experience. We got one of those hammock things that covers the whole backseat, just for Matzo to spend the whole time looking out of it and crying like he was being kidnapped (see below). 0/10 stars. Do not recommend.

Yeah, whenever I say that to others, they're like "What are you TALKING about!" and I'm just like uhh... it's just not good. I got into an argument about it once because someone was like "but he's creating a UNIVERSE!" which I guess is true, but the writing doesn't have to be bad!
My roommate owns all the books, so maybe I'll give it another go.

My roommate used to listen to this one all the time after our road trip on the West side. The song went from exciting to sad for me, now! Okay; I'm trying to say that I'm dying to visit again.

I am late to this party, but..... I also got accepted to Rice!! Couldn't return the DGS's call since I was at work and almost nobody in my office knows I'm applying to PhD programs... but I am very excited! I've visited Rice before for a grad symposium and I adore their department.
