  1. Fall 2018 Applicants

It’s very quiet tonight. Seems almost like the quiet before the storm of results that are going to come out soon
  2. Fall 2018 Acceptances/Interviews/Rejections Thread

Based on last year, it should be around the beginning of February. If you go to the results page and search sociology Wisconsin it should show you all the results from previous years, so you can get an idea of when they usually send out acceptances each year.

Yeah, Minnesota is also one of my top choices. I think we should hear back today or tomorrow based on last year’s pattern because they sent them out on the Thursday and Friday of this week.

Anyone else nervous that Minnesota acceptance letters should come out tomorrow or Friday?

Yeah, same for me. There’s one professor who I would really like to work with, but other than that the fit isn’t the strongest.

Congrats to everyone who has heard good news so far and good luck to everyone still waiting! Does anyone know if University of Chicago has sent out all their interviews?
  7. 2018 App Cycle

Hey, just wanted to jump in here. I’m applying to a mix of Sociology and Crimonology programs. For Criminology I’m applying to Penn State, Indiana, and Washington State.

Finally got my last applications submitted. It feels like a blessing and a curse. I don't have to work on them anymore, but now I have nothing constructive I can do when I start getting anxious about hearing back. Good luck to everyone that applied!

It's intriguing that everyone has an N so far. I wonder if it has something to do with the "Sociological Imagination" and what that it takes to have that. It would be interesting to see if we were all Ns throughout our lives or if we moved towards N after we learned more about sociology.

I’ve got almost the same thing going on, but I always score INTP and I believe I’m INFP based on the description. I think I scored like 7 on T so I’m basically right in the middle as well.
