Haha it definitely feels like one of the longest weeks of my life. Hopefully we'll both come through with happy news though!

I think the earliest they'll reach out is tomorrow. I know that the website said each PI would talk to the students in their respective labs after the second day of interviews, and then all the faculty members would get together the day after interviews were completed (so 1/23) and go over student rankings. I believe Dr. Fauber said it takes a week or two to get all the funding situated, so probably between tomorrow and 2/6. Fingers crossed, and good luck!

I've received three formal invitations so far, but didn't have an informal conversation before receiving any of them. I think it depends on the program and faculty member.

Yes, interviews are a bit later this year. I’ve noticed in previous years that invitations were sometimes extended after the winter break. They also sent out the email about how the process would continue after the break. Hopefully we all still have a shot I haven’t seen anyone mention or PM me that my POI has extended invitations yet, so there’s still hope. If someone else was invited and hasn’t messaged me the POI, I would appreciate it! Deep breaths, and good luck!

I'm currently planning my wedding. I also work full-time, supervise a lab, and volunteer, so I'm usually busy anyway. I have 13 days off since I work for a university, so I'll try to focus on family and other things.

I'm honestly just a very relaxed person. I'm also planning my wedding at the moment, so that takes my mind off of it a bit.
