I think so, I've seen rejections in the Results.
-
UNC Epidemiology PhD does not interview, and they admit students on a rolling basis - that means over two or three months they are slowing sending out results. So if you still haven't heard back, don't be discouraged (although I completely understand the anxiety, I mean it's March already!?)

I received my acceptance letter today too! Same as you, funding remains to be determined.

One of the three PIs I listed won't be available to meet with me, and according to the agenda I can "feel free to contact her through email or phone". The time lengths that I will meet with the remaining two PIs also vary, one 30 min and the other 15. So I guess maybe they already have preferences as to which student to take, the interview is just a confirmation process.

Congrats on the interview! I am also invited to the interview at Michigan, and start to get nervous about it already since there will be a 3-faculty panel interview. Very curious as to what the questions could be, anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

If you'd applied for UNC, by portal I meant the website where you check your application status. You don't need to create a portal. Hope this helps!

Guys, check your UNC portal - my admission decision was there but I didn't receive an email.

Thanks for sharing! So if I don't hear from them in the next 2 weeks then it's probably a No. Which track did you apply? Mine is genetic epi.

I remember seeing that they interview qualified candidates from this webpage: https://www.jhsph.edu/departments/epidemiology/faqs/index.html

Three rejections already (including UW this morning). But congratulations to those accepted! All my 3 rejection letters saying the inability to offer me admission was due to limited program space, which makes me wonder if funding is getting smaller and smaller.
