  1. Looking at the pattern of admits posted on grad cafe, I guess they have finished sending out the first round of admits for their CS prog. The next round could be in March and admits would be sent out based on the response from students in the first round. Since the last round ended around 13th Feb, we can expect some more admits by 7-9 March. (Because students are generally given 25 days to decide on their offer) P.S: This is what I am assuming. I could be wrong. Hope they update us on our admission status as soon as possible.
  2. Hey, I pretty much applied for the same uni's. You do have a really strong application. Being a BITS Graduate myself (Not MS but BE - CS) , I totally understand your CGPA. With that work experience, you will surely get into one of your preferred universities. Even though this might not really matter but you should have tried to get at least one academic reference from BITS. Unlike SFU, UBC does quantify academic capabilities through recommendation letters. Good luck!
  3. Hello guys, Since the application deadlines for Canadian universities are approaching, we can you this thread to discuss admission prospects and results effectively. Until some universities start sending offer letters, we can share our research interests and targeted university lists to measure 2018's graduate application pool. I have applied for UBC, SFU, UoAlberta and Carleton with UoA being my preferred university. I scored an 8 in IELTS and got an 8.5 (out of 10) GPA from a renowned university in India. Have few publications and related work experience. I wish to specialize in machine learning.
