    Last on both of our lists.. interesting! My list is UChicago, Harvard (Ed.LD), UIC, and then Loyola. So jealous you've heard from MSU, I'm dying over here!

    She was really nice -- what other schools are you applying to? Do you think you will take it?

    I still had to take out about $20,000 a year to cover the rest of the tuition, and I lived at home. I was work-study eligible so the first year I worked at Hillel and the 2nd year I worked at the front desk (which was the best, easiest job.) I also briefly worked at the Upward Bound office on campus although I wouldn't recommend it. There are TONS of work study jobs.

    I went to SSA from 2013-15. As a woman of color I experienced constant microaggressions from staff, faculty, and students. That being said -- having my degree from SSA opened SO many doors for me and I truly feel I had the best quality professors. Two of my mentees are currently in the program and from my perspective they have made some strides in this area - so much so that I am applying to the Ph.D program.

    I went to UChicago from 2011-2013 and received $25,000 each year. I had several friends who negotiated more funding, I would give it a try

    I applied for Loyola, UChicago, and UIC for Social Work and Harvard for Ed.LD. I had a meeting with the Director of the Loyola program, but that is it. Getting nervous!
