Hey everyone! I just heard from Kean earlier this afternoon for Fall start. They said I need to take a prerequisite "Neuroscience". I am not sure if any of you have taken this course or know of a course that satisfies this requirement... I really don't want to take a summer course, but I will do what I have to do.

@SLP1818 is the program 3 years? Or does it just have 2 summer semesters rather than the typical 1 summer semester?

Their website says mid to late march so I'm sure this upcoming week we should hear from them! -
I looked at the result forum and saw that people who were waitlisted, rejected and accepted all received the email. I think it was a technical glitch.

Hi everyone! I applied to Kean University for Fall 2018 and I was curious to know how many semesters the program is? I saw on EdFind by ASHA that it is typically 6 full-time semesters.... is this true because it is only 57 credits, which is pretty standard for most programs that only have 5 semesters. Would anyone be able to shed some light on the topic?- 439 replies

Is the program 5 semesters? I am trying to figure out how much tuition will cost in total and with 5 semesters (typical for most schools) it comes out to $52,550. Does anyone know if this is correct?

Yeah i saw how you can plan a tour so I might just do that to get a better feel, but I am and trying to stay close to home and make life easier.

NYC Grad Applicants Fall 2018
Ange1414 replied to slpgirl898's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I went to both programs' open houses. TC only gives first year students one client, while Adelphi gives upwards of 8 clients within the first year. Adelphi is about 12k more than TC. Adelphi has no study abroad opportunities and TC has gone to Bolivia the past few years. They both have bilingual extension programs. I am not sure where you are from, but the price of housing for TC is ridiculously expensive. I got a very good vibe from Adelphi, but it is a shame it is so expensive. I feel that TC is much more researched based as well. I hope this helps in some way! -

I've lived in a Long Island suburb my entire life, my current college is in a very wealthy suburb and I am so not accustomed to anything urban. I wanted to break out of my comfort zone a bit and that is why I applied, but I am nervous it will be too much of a drastic change for me.

Yes that is very helpful! Are you thinking about going to La Salle?

This definitely does help! What neighborhoods specifically are you referring to? I am looking into apartments and just want like a general town to look into! Any help would be appreciated- 439 replies

Wow! Thanks for the info. I am definitely going to keep that in mind when making a decision.

I just got accepted to La Salle and am really considering going there, BUT I looked up the neighborhood it is in and it doesn't seem to safe. Supposedly there is a high crime rate and some students feel unsafe on campus. I am visiting the campus later this month to get a better feel for the area. Does anyone know the are around La Salle or live in Philly that could shed some light on this?- 439 replies

I was accepted to La Salle as well and I'm a little apprehensive because of the area it is in. I live on Long Island right now, which is typical suburbia. I heard the area around is crime ridden, but that is only what I have read online so it might not be true. Are you from Philly? Do you know what the area is like around La Salle?

I just got an acceptance email from La Salle University!!! The deposit is $500 and it is due on April 16th!

Hi guys! I also applied to La Salle and saw on a post from last year that there are only 25 spots available for the program and 10 of those spots are reserved for their undergraduate students. I'd say it is pretty competitive. I haven't heard back from them yet either. Good luck everyone!
