Today I turn 22. My birthday is always my least favorite day of the year, but I'm trying to look on the bright side. Received an interview invite yesterday from a school where I thought I had no chance, so that was the best gift. It's funny how I'm potentially going to graduate school yet still feel 12. It doesn't even seem like I should be an undergraduate sometimes!

I don't have any input, but I'm also BME and getting so antsy...... every day is refreshing the results page. At the weirdest of times, too. My GPA is awful, so I hope it can be overlooked... ? Some places won't reject outrightly because not all applicants will accept the interview offer or offer of admission, methinks.

I love all three of those!

Lifting, going to concerts, photography, and watching soccer.

There's probably another 2-3 solid weeks of waiting left, but I am also tired of it. There's nothing to do!

Just got home for the holiday, and I already want to go back to school. My hometown sucks, and my parents always talk about the most mundane things. I realize this sounds pretentious, but we honestly have nothing interesting to discuss. It's been like this since undergrad started. They don't ever ask me about what classes I take, and although I have mentioned graduate school applications for a long time now, neither has asked what I want to study. I would honestly be surprised if they knew, after nearly four years, what my major is. Ah, well. At least I get to see my dogs for the second time this year.

First interview offer today. No longer feeling like a complete lost cause!

This was so totally unexpected, but I received an interview offer from Mayo Clinic for the biomedical engineering/physiology PhD track just minutes ago! I'm trying not to tear up at my lab right now lololol. I knew I would feel much better if I got a first interview anywhere. Stoked that I am not a failure

What hobbies do you have that you hope to continue in grad school?

going to concerts, lifting, photography, and watching soccer. pretty much my only hobbies. lifting has kept me sane during undergrad. -
GPA from this quarter's grades alone went from 3.18 to 3.26, and still waiting on one more to be posted next week. Not a huge difference, but looks much better. Submitting the rest of my apps tomorrow!
