Despite flight mishaps both ways, first interview weekend went well. I missed my flight there and thought I blew the interview already, but everyone was so kind to me. I was taken aback! Interviews with faculty made me nervous, but they felt like casual conversations. The director said that even though they have another interview weekend in a month, they will send decisions to our group next week or the week after. Hoping for my first acceptance.

I missed my flight to my interview weekend last night because I went to the wrong airport ? they changed my flight to early this morning, and I won't miss much. I still feel terrible though and like I already blew the interview. Ugh. On my way to the CORRECT airport now though. This is my first and potentially only interview weekend, so I hope it goes well. I get to interview with faculty I never imagined I would meet in person, so that's exciting. I had a Skype interview with a different school last week and feel that was good practice.

This is the impression I have, too. Just wanted to make sure. -
Lifting most days of the week, working on stuff for the easier classes I am taking this quarter, checking my emails, listening to podcasts, checking my emails, drinking matcha, and last but not least, checking my emails.

I'm mainly concerned about "optional" events and leaving more casual gatherings earlier than most. Are optional events truly optional? Is leaving early okay? I don't want to give off the impression that I am uninterested. Being around people all day AND interviewing with intimidating ones are just exhausting! -
See title.

I don't live there, but I visited the town once on a weekday. It is pretty small, and I didn't feel that there was much to do. Lots of older people and ISU undergrads. Take my insight with a grain of salt though

I'm feeling afraid, too. But try to focus on something else in the meantime. Work, job searching, schoolwork, hanging with friends and family, exercise, cooking, and other hands-on hobbies that can eat up a lot of time. I think it's still early, and it seems like lots of us are anxious. It's not over until it's over, and it only takes one.

Flying to Phoenix tomorrow for a music festival That should distract me from checking my emails way too much. But I also hope I don't receive bad news tomorrow to ruin my weekend...
