Hi all! I just got accepted off the waitlist at McGill and will be accepting! I will be declining my offer at Dalhousie and waitlist position at Western! Good luck everyone!

Unfortunately I already have two years experience working as a facilitator for an English Conversation club, so I’m looking for something that would add more variety to my application. If I can’t find any SLP experience, that would still be a good option for gaining general volunteer hours! Thank you so much for your response ???

I spoke to soon! I was just contacted by Janet from Western via email and was offered a position off the waitlist. I will be accepting my offer. I was accepted to Alberta so I will not be declining that offer. Hopefully someone from the Alberta waitlist will be hearing soon!

Hey! From what I have read from the schools in Ontario and on the forums, if you provisionally accept an offer, you will still be on the waitlist for other schools until April 30th.On April 30th, if the offer is still provisionally accepted, it will automatically become a firm acceptance and you will be taken off the waitlist of other school! I hope this helps

Hiya!! The structure is what I'm focusing on too. I really like the way Toronto's unit structure works, but I do think it's awesome that McGill has the weekly placements from the beginning of the program (but I'm worried about having shorter external placements at the same time). I'm also thinking about Montreal vs. Toronto. I've been to Montreal a bunch of times and looooved it, but have never been in Toronto at all, so I don't really know what it's like!!

The McGill undergraduate association held an online panel of first year S-LP students from a bunch of schools in Canada. If someone needs help with a decision, they gave a lot of useful information in this interview. @CSD I'm not the person you replied to, but I joined the U of A group without knowing whether or not I'll accept the offer, as well. I don't think it's a matter of seriousness towards the program's offer; I think it's a nice way to get to know (potential) classmates and have the opportunity to chat a bit about the school/city, which for me is helpful in making my decision I'll be sure when I make my decision to remove myself from whatever school groups that I won't be attending! I’m still waiting for my portal to update. Mine still says prescreening, but now there’s an offer response due date that wasn’t there before 

I’m still waiting too. 

Got the admissions offer from U of A on Friday morning! Can't wait till fall!
