  1. The impostor syndrome is hitting me HARD. How does one deal with this????
  2. School: University of Houston Type: PhD, Clinical Child Psychology Date of invite: 1/9/18 Type of invite: email from POI Interview date(s): February 1st & 2nd Beyond ecstatic! Feel free to PM for POI
  3. Has anyone heard from SDSU/UCSD JDP? I know they sent invites out toward the end of January last year, but their interview date is earlier this year and in a little over a month.
  4. Minnesota ICD usually sends out acceptances & invites to welcome weekend toward the end of January, so I wouldn't worry about not hearing from them yet.
  5. Taking a couple years off to work in research somewhere! I'm already starting to look now. It's my first time applying, so I won't let rejections discourage me from pursuing this field.
  6. Your POI may have just not sent anything to you just yet, or they may wait-list you for an interview (UNL has done this in the past). I would give it at least until next Thursday to hear something, and then contact the admissions coordinator on Friday if you haven't heard back.
  7. It was my top choice, too! I'm heartbroken to say the least. If your application is still under review in MyRed, I think they're still considering you!
  8. Cleaning! Cleaning out and reorganizing absolutely everything (closet, drawers, shelves, etc.) It keeps me busy and helps me concentrate on something other than applications.
  9. Hi! I don't know much about the graduate school application process for SPL, but I would suggest you maybe talk to a trusted professor about the process. You're also just a sophomore, so I wouldn't stress about the specifics about what point in your senior year to submit your application. It's a little early to worry about that. However, I'm sure SPL folks on the forum can give you some guidance!
  10. Completely normal. Many schools don't send anything until the new year. Interview invites are commonly sent in January. It really just depends on the program. I would start to worry if many people had heard back from a certain school or if I hadn't heard anything by February.
  11. MyRed said a final decision is made for mine--- assuming it is a rejection, but I haven't gotten official notice.
  12. Congrats on all your interviews! Would you mind PM your POI at Notre Dame? Thanks!
  13. Does this apply to rejections or only interview invites? Sorry, this whole process is not being good to me.
  14. They sent out a couple interview invites around this time last year, but they also sent some out the first week of January. I wouldn't worry just yet!
