  1. I totally agree - the idea of going through the process again is so daunting, even without the added craziness of covid
  2. Hey All! I'm about to start my 3rd round of clinical psych applications and am really freaking out a bit...anyone else on their 3rd+ time?
  3. I think so. I called all my programs yesterday to ask if interview requests had gone out (they had) and they were all pretty chill about it. Although just to warn you - for me, it doesn't really feel like closure until that rejection email hits your inbox.
  4. From what I can tell, yes. There is no official interview day, it's all up to the professor. At least that's what I was told when I called them this morning.
  5. Hey! Just called the department. I was informed that they are still reviewing applications, and they do not have an interview date (everything is done at the discretion of faculty members as we thought). She said if we haven't heard anything by the beginning of February, that's not a good sign. Hope this helps!
  6. Thanks for the information Ugh I don't understand why they don't just send out rejection letters. What good is it to keep us hanging when we know it's not going to happen?
  7. i hope so! don't tell me otherwise or i won't be able to sleep ?
  8. Ugh today I saw an ad for a school I applied to saying "We need psychologists now more than ever. Apply today!" ...what do you think I'm trying to do!?!??
  9. Spam calls are the absolute WORST. There are just so many ways to torture aspiring grad students...
  10. I just talked to my brother-in-law (received PhD a couple years ago) about this (I received a grant, was wondering if I should update schools). He said that most admissions committees have already reviewed your application at this point. It's unlikely they'll meet again even though there's more information.
  11. I'm in the same boat as you (for clinical). Sent the department an email yesterday to ask if all interview requests had gone out and haven't heard back yet...
  12. I had a friend who applied last year who interviewed in late feb and got waitlisted and didn't find out she actually got accepted until like early april....they seem to just do whatever they want at Harvard.
  13. I'm actually wondering something similar - I recently found out I was awarded a small grant. Do I update admissions?
