    Hey all, I'm a Fall 2020 Genetics PhD applicant for the University of Cambridge. I've had a Skype interview with a POI 2 weeks ago, and I realized that my status on the portal changed from "under review by the Department" to "under review by the Degree Committee" just yesterday. Anyone know what this means? Thanks in advance!

    Yeah, it was totally unexpected. I even changed my signature to a rejection after not getting an interview invite. But I would guess that most interviewees do get admitted because they would want to have a high yield, but I am also confused.

    Got rejected from MIT CSBi and accepted to CMU CPCB the same day. A lot of mixed feelings today
