  1. Sharing what I was asked, for the benefit of future applicants: 1. How I arrived at my topic (preparedness, previous work) 2. I was asked to "walk (my interviewer) through my ideas" 3. Why I have chosen the topic I have 4. Methodology/archives I hope to acces 5. Why Cambridge 6. Specific needs for my project Pretty standard stuff I would say; the interview is fairly short.
  2. Just an update: I have been asked to interview for the PhD in English (Criticism and Culture). Fingers crossed, will update this forum about how it goes.
  3. Absolutely, I'll drop you a PM... I'm expecting it to go disastrously, because I've met my POI before and they are quite intimidating and brilliant, so I'm expecting to be fully tongue-tied. But here's hoping I get some words out... Just so I can tell you how it goes!
  4. I think Cornell is also due this week...
  5. Hello, that's me! I'll share how the interview goes on this forum, if that helps? And yeah, you are right, interviews are very spaced out so you should also be hearing soon enough!!
  6. Hi, sorry for the late response, but this was me. I've been in talks with the DGS and my POI, and it seems they are extending very few offers (a maximum of 2). They haven't made any official offers yet, since they are trying to figure out funding. Please don't lose hope, I believe they will interview in waves!
  7. Hiyya, that would be me :)! Sorry for the late response, I only saw this thread just now!
  8. Columbia gets back mid-Feb, something around 15th to 25th, going by Gradcafe result trends. I've applied to the ICLS track too, all the best!
  9. I applied as well, for a DPhil in EnglishxSouth Asian Studies. The scholarship offer looks REALLY good, I hope we get it!
  10. Hello everyone! I've applied to the PhD in English (Criticism and Culture) at Cam and DPhil in English at Oxford. I chose colleges based on what funding opportunities are available, and my friends at Cambridge tell me Corpus Christi and Selwyn are REALLY nice for graduate students so I'm hopeful on that front! I'm curious: did you reach out to any professors? What are your research interests?
  11. Okay, I think I spoke too soon, since I got my acceptance to Northwestern soon after this post. All the best to all applicants!
  12. Have Comparative Literature acceptances to Northwestern been sent out? I saw one acceptance, and now I'm just curious if there are any more. Taking this as an informal rejection...
  13. Sorry, I only saw this now! If you are still looking for readers, please email me at 666793@soas.ac.uk !!
  14. Hey, I'm a Comp Lit applicant as well: I'm happy to help! Drop me a PM if you want. :) Just sent off my last app today, phew.
