Outer Heaven

I have some friends from undergrad (Philosophy) who applied last year, some were contacted within in the first week after the due date. I have feeling only those who are super stellar scholars get this kind of attention. I highly doubt that I am standout student. But I am curious If this is the same process in most programs?

Ope, I hope we are not pitted against each other. At least I am inadequate for any merit based qualification.

My AOI is history of philosophical thought, epistemology, Phil of mind, Hegel, American pragmatism (Sellars) and German Idealism.

The drama is too good to pass up.

This year I am applying to philosophy grad programs. Having almost completed my master's degree at SFSU. The switch from in person classes to distance learning was easy given how tech literate my university appears to be. Working on my thesis during a pandemic is a bit surreal since I have been stuck at home and always online.

I submitted mine a bit earlier, just in case 'rona sneak up behind me.

I would imagine coming from SF/Bay area to West Lafayette would be shock since I pay 1200 for a one bedroom room but share the house with another person.

Now, we play the waiting game. Ahh, the waiting game sucks. Let's play Hungry Hungry Hippos!
