No, I emailed them in January to ask if early action candidates would be under consideration for funding in March. Good luck to you too!

For those that are anxiously awaiting - the early action decisions were released at 7:48 PM EST. Some applicants were given scholarship decisions at that time, others (like me!) were told “we have not completed the awarding process. If selected for SIPA funding you will be notified in March, however if you are not selected you will not receive any confirmation”. So I am waiting with all of you hoping additional early action funding decisions may be released today!

Maybe this MPA person is a Executive MPA person? It seems to trend that they find out before the other SIPA programs.

I'm fairly certain it'll happen today for no good reason besides past knowledge, this forum's affirmations and the fact I've gotten all my acceptances when I thought I would this year. So good luck everyone, hang in there!!! This is my last one and I'm dying a little bit but it's all going to be fine either way. 

can't image how crazy I would be going if I wasn't on this thread, considering how late results are relative to years past. thankful for those of you who seem to have an in with admissions haha

Had a chat with AD of admissions a few mins back. Her exact phrasing was "You should hear back from us in a week or so."

Yeah, I am a current Columbia student and if it helps, we have some hybrid classes this semester, and I think SIPA has had hybrid classes both this and last semester. No in person graduation though... 

Yes, I'm in NYC right now and I have friends who go to Columbia and are taking hybrid/fully online classes. I still think that even with hybrid classes, opportunities for meeting professors and networking would be limited, compared to what they would/could be normally.
And yes, rents are so low... It's one of the big reasons why I'm considering starting this year lol

NYC is actually pretty open in comparison to, like, the Bay Area. I wouldn't be surprised if they end up moving to hybrid classes... especially since rates are dropping and vaccines are rolling out.
 
The travel ban is really valid point, however. Feels like Columbia SIPA is highly international so I have no idea how that will bode for the fall. (Also rent in NYC is dropping rapidly since everyone fleed the city/moved to the 'burbs so at least there's that). 

I think MSFS results should be out by the end of this week. Probably tomorrow, but shouldn't be later than this Friday. 

FWIW early notifications dropped around 7:30ish pm EST.

Accepted to MAIR DC with 50k aid/year! Six years career experience + 329 GRE + good letters of rec. Wishing everyone else good luck - personally waiting for other decisions but seriously considering JHU!

But does anyone know how hard it is to maintain this 3.4 gpa standard so the scholarship gets renewed in the second year?
I'm a bit nervous about quant classes since that's my weakness historically, and I've been out of undergrad for 5 years.

You just need to wait around 40 min to log in once you register the account
