  1. Received an e-mail from BU saying they will send invites before holidays, but then since there are too many applications, they will keep sending additional invites in January.
  2. Anyone e-mailed BU PiBS regarding when interview invites will be sent out?
  3. To whom did you email - I mean who is the admissions director?
  4. I E-mailed my prospective PI from a University to which I have applied, saying that I have applied and willing to work with her. She replied, "I would be delighted to explore the possibility of you joining the lab, It would be fantastic to have a new student. Pls let me know if you want to follow up at any point in your application process or if there is anything I could help with" What does she mean by this and how should I tell her politely to give me interview invite? ??
  5. Anyone received interview from UNC BBSP, Vandy IGP, Harvard BBS? Do univs send invites first to domestic and then international??
  6. Anyone heard back from Boston PiBS or Hopkins CMM? Didn't get any from UNC and Vandy
  7. Congrats! When did you get from Vanderbilt and your profile?
  8. Is it worthy to e-mail admissions regarding application status at this moment? My status hasn't changed from "Submitted". Will they give any additional information like - under review / rejected / waitlist?
  9. Ah! Nice. I applied to BBS. My app is mainly supported by Harvard chair of medicine. Fingers crossed both of us.
  10. Good profile! Which Harvard lab do you work at? Who's your PI?
  11. Can anyone explain how the portal status changes if we are invited? Right now it just says "Submitted". Will it change if our applications are reviewed?
  12. Same here Guess they have rec'd hell lotta applications.
  13. Firstly, relax. Secondly, email the program stating your issue. Two things could happen - 1. the program might allow him to submit recommendation through his personal email to the portal and the university will verify the legitimacy themselves (as long as the recommender has access to his personal email ID); 2. The program might ask him to send his recommendation through email directly to admissions office and they, after verifying, will add the letter to your file.
  14. Hey! It indicates "Received" with green check mark for me. I heard different programs have different application portal setup. Which program did you apply to? May be its different there. Send an email to grad admissions @ jhu. Send your details attaching CV in your email. If the deadline hasn't passed, they will attach it to your application.
  15. Its true. Last year was crazy. I guess this year not many has applied - at least from this forum and other groups/forums elsewhere.
