Washington DC - Area International Affairs Schools (Admissions)
msal replied to PrattIAFF's topic in Government Affairs Forum
Hey SarahL, why did you choose SAIS over SIPA and MSFS? could you tell, if you don't mind... -
congrats to all admitted fellas. although I am a bit surprised to hear that people choose some less prestigious schools over Chicago, when I think DC factor I can understand. Then I would like to ask a similar question; would you prefer SAIS or Georgetown over HKS? I haven't been admitted to any of them though...
-
which department at GW (I suppose this is George Washington!) have you been admitted to?
-
I totally agree with myrnist about the rank of Syracuse. Also, if a school is listed in the top tier, this is more or less relevant for all its programs. Of course there are some exceptions such as SAIS, Georgetown and GWU are among the top at IR/Gov't issues. This is mostly because of their location. Other than that, top schools such as Harvard, Chicago, Princeton etc are also top at these departments. This is what I think as an applicant of course, not as an employer

Let's share the news from SAIS admissions under this topic. I do not have any news yet
-
I am also expecting them to respond until March 15th. But I heard some guys got acceptance.
-
did anyone hear from Columbia SIPA?
-
guys, what about stanford IPS? you seem to have vast knowledge about programs.
-
Here is quick facts from the program's website Quick Facts Incoming Class Size: 20-25International Students: 50%Average Age: 26Nationalities: 10

yeah I believe so. however its reputation neds to be further improved. you can hardly see a reference to the program. maybe more advertising is required.
-
what do you think about the ranking of this program? do you think is it comparable to other top MPAs?
-
has anyone got an answer?
-
thank you. as far as I remember from the website, they are accepting around 20 people each year.
-
thanks for the info. does anyone know how many people have applied to the program this year?
