Congrats to the Rochester admit!

I just logged in to ApplyWeb through the Brown portal (easier to find) and everything had previously been blue was suddenly red. My heart skipped a beat, thinking something has actually changed, but no. There are no changes on the other 4 schools on the same portal.

Weren't there some from a couple of days ago? I'd love to think that they haven't actually notified anyone because it means I may still have a shot!

Huh,you are right. I must have imagined that.

I think it's pretty crappy of schools not to let everyone (accept, waitlist, reject) know at the same time, or at least within a couple of days, I commend Northwestern and Chicago for doing that. Even the universities that do two waves can come up with some way of letting people know what's going on. It's just common courtesy, IMO.

Looks like Harvard has done its acceptances. Does anyone know if they do wait-listing? I assume most people who get accepted to Harvard go to Harvard.

I'm looking forward to my NYU visit. First, I LOVE NYC and I've dreamed about living there pretty much all my life, and second because I have had such great interactions with several faculty members there and it makes me feel like they really want me. If other offers come through, (like from UPenn and Harvard) I think it's going to be a difficult choice.

I just finished making 25 cake pops for my son's class, and for the first time in in weeks I didn't think about grad school admisions for an entire hour and a half!

The logistics of moving thousands of miles with all my stuff is terrifying, but more so is getting the timing for everything right. We need to let the kid finish the school year, sell the house, my husband find a job in the new location, etc, and time it all so we don't have to do short term leases here while we settle there. The thought alone makes me want to withdraw all my applications!

I just got the official NYU acceptance email with all the funding info on it.

I saw that so I checked the portal. Nothing's changed for me. Looks like I might have already gotten all the acceptances I'm going to get.

Now that I have two acceptances, one official rejection, and a few assumed rejections, I'm actually not feeling any less anxious about what is to come still. I mean, they are all big names and chances are I won't get in to any of the ones that have not send out notifications yet, and it is bumming me out. I'm not bummed about Princeton, but I am about William and Mary even though I haven't gotten an official rejection yet. Do I even have the right to feel bummed about rejections when I already have two offers, one of them at a top tier school? Something tells me "no," but I can't help it.

Harvard and UPenn need to chop chop!

I'm currently reading a book edited by one of my POIs, but if I don't get into that school, I'm going to sabotage the reading! I kid, I kid...

One of my former professors told me the same thing today in respect to my two offers. He pretty much told me I had to go to the best university that accepts me.

Just got my Princeton rejection.
