I have already contacted my potential supervisor. I indicated my interests and I discussed a small issue with him since I know very well one of his books. Then, I declared my potential phd project and he really liked it. Finally, he said that he will look for my application folder in the committee. Let's see what will happen...

Currently, I am lecturing at a university and this is my strongest side. I am lecturing my own class and I decide the content of syllabus. Indeed, the class is very related to what I would like to do in my phd project. However, my weakness is that my undergraduate university has a very low reputation although my masters university is highly known in my country and in many countries.

I am so sorry for you:( I hope you applied to other universities as well and you will get admission, do not worry! I also applied to York for two different phd programs. Anyway, after applying, I called them several times for learning either there is a problem on the application documents or not. they said that there is no problem the documents will be sent to committee. In this case, you may have two problems, first one is a missing document, second one is an earlier decision of committee for applicants who are considered to be insufficient. I am really unhappy for you but I may also be rejected in several weeks, I can understand you.....

Additionally, the professor has a very good book on the subject and I mentioned that book in the email because I have already read it. Additionally, I am a part-time lecturer in a university and my class is very related to my phd subject. I also sent the syllabus of my class. The professor answered me positively and he said that he also wants to study with me and he will deal with my application in the committee. He said that he will accept me but he should ask to committee. The professor has a very powerful profile in the faculty. Do you think that his application will be accepted? Do you have any idea?
