I know many a lady not doing well this cycle, in my program and beyond. To say it's "the ticket" is unfair. I don't mean to be rude, but have you considered that these women simply had better applications (writing samples, gres, letters)? I don't think it's a kind assumption to say that they were admitted just because they're women. We really can't know what happens behind closed doors. This is the venting thread and I don't want to step on your toes. I see how this can be frustrating. But I also see how diversity is a real issue in the profession, and 90% of philosophy is still white and male. Just some thoughts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To be fair the "I'm shaking" part of the post sounds legit. I would be shaking... and crying... and Chalmers would be like, "ummm is this a bad time?" and through my tears I'd be like "No, Chalmers, this is the perfect time *sobs forever of relief and ecstacy*"

No idea but I heard they're prompt with rejections, which is great. I'd rather know sooner rather than later. good luck!

I was wondering about that too... are those later posts admits from the WL? Do they even have a public WL, or do they just with hold rejections so they can accept more if needed?

So this week I'm hoping for UNC -- Wednesday or Friday, right Jac? -- the rest of the Brown offers, the rest of the Indiana offers (I actually called and they said they were "in the middle of" sending out acceptances), and maybe even UCLA or Yale. (Dare I dream?).

I feel bad that although we've deduced that princeton posts (and probably yale / harvard posts) are fake, future grad cafe result page researchers will have false results. Annoyed in advance for those people who's predictions will be off because of the false data points.
