Can someone tell me more about their UCLA rejection? I've had my heart broken by many a late rejection this cycle because of my late-in-the-alphabet last name. If you're received a rejection from UCLA and don't mind, please DM me the first letter of your last name so I can have some evidence about whether or not I'm going to hear later today or tomorrow. Thanks!!!
Hey friends. I'm planning trips to visit the schools where I'm WL. I'm a little concerned that it's going to feel like a 48 hr interview. Any tips or thoughts re: visiting while WL would be helpful
I've worked in admissions before and having a deposit to secure your spot is normal. It's to prevent people from telling schools they're coming and then not showing up. I expect the department will cover it, you should check in with whichever school you're planning to attend.
p.s. Good of you to decline early. You're going to make many a wait lister very happy
I don't even have words for the venting I need right now. ;adjksfa;lsdfjaoei;jfaeokjfsdlkfjadlksjfdksjfaljf;akds hem hem. ok, I'm feeling a bit better.
@svent hey folks, just starting to look into housing near ucsb. I've heard goleta is a good place to start. I was wondering if you could tell me what it's like there... is there a main street or a happening few blocks? I currently live in a full blown city so I'm looking to find an apartment on or near a busy street (cafes, movie theaters, bars, shopping), and was wondering if there's anything equivalent there.
yeah, I"m surprised, they're normally very quick with their rejections. there's another poster on here currently at UNC who said all of their offers have gone out.
